What should i get my brother for his birthday?

My little brother is about to be 16-years-old. I finally scrapped together some money, and I really want to get him something good. We've spent so much of our lives going without, and he's been such a great kid though it all...but to tell you the truth, I have no idea what to get him. I was thinking about a tablet, but I don't really know the differences between them all that well. What do you guys think?

    Ask him what he really wants and surprise him with it the next day (it doesn't have to be his birthday). The best present my sister ever got me was some t shirts at urban outfitters when i was in my emo phase. I never really got her a gift cause she's my older but on the other hand I've done plenty of favors for her throughout my life and gave her money when she asked. I love my sister but she treats me like an ex-boyfriend or like some loser she can twist around her finger when she pleases.
