I type around 110 WPM on average and have typed pretty fast since elementary school with practice. I don't necessarily think it's abnormal but I'm curious to know how others type. What's your WPM?

100+ wpm is a breeze. I'd have to purposefully try to type slower to get below 90 wpm
I’ve actually seen a few people do that, but they all worked in an industry where they had to type fast so
I have no idea... I used to play the piano when I was really young and I think that helped me to memorize letters on the keyboard in elementary school. I was at around 70 - 80 WPM in 5th grade.
The last time I was tested it was 68wpm but take that with a pinch of salt because I took that test in 2007.
On a side note I’m amazed by the number of people at my job who type with one finger, it’s how I imagine a crow would type with it’s beak.
I type like a damnngurl on my phone i type fast af yo. But i have big fingers so i have lots of typos but you get what im saying
Depends. I like to take my time but if I need to type quickly and know what to type, I can type faster than most normal people.
I haven't tested it for years but I used to have a 100-120 wpm speed in typing and even faster with Pitman's shorthand, the latter of which is a hard won but now redundant skill I still use occasionally to scribble notes to myself which I later have trouble deciephering.
As someone old enough to have learned to type on a manual typewriter around the middle of last century and who then graduated to electric typewriters, then to memory typewriters and finally to computers, I find modern flat keyboards slow me down and as for touch screens .....
The keyboard for my desktop sometimes allows me to type so fast the computer can't keep up with me and I have to stop to let it catch up!
