What's your sleep behavior?

Hey all, did you get a good nights sleep?

Personally I didn't get that great of sleep but that's also because I had a toddler pulling my hair and kicking me all night, ha nieces are fun. Anyways normally I sleep like a baby, barely making a sound or moving, curled up in fetal position. I like sleeping in cooler conditions with all the lights off and I always read before shutting the light off. I occasionally have really detailed dreams or I have multiple dreams or I can't remember any of my dreams. I try to sleep at least 7 hrs but lately stress has been keeping me up later at night.

What do you do in your sleep? Please go on and describe further in comments, poll options aren't descriptive enough.

Very vivid dreams from my medication, which is pretty cool but sometimes i forget that they were just dreams after I'm awake.. if i have to work in the morning it seems like i can't wake up if i sleep more than about 4 or 5 hours. if i don't have to work i sleep 12+ hours, but i'm trying to stop that. since i had a fulltime job i've been automatically waking up around 7 which is nice, although its very hard to find a reason not to go back to sleep after breakfast and sleeping til dinner or until i have to work. i sleep silently, i think in fetal position/curled up like a cat, under the blankets. for some reason i have always been very cheerful/friendly when people wake me up in the middle of my sleep, as long as i know i can go back to sleep after they leave lol.
i've also been told I "type" in my sleep, i think this is because i've found out i can use "ctrl+z" in my dreams to undo anything bad that's happened..hah

I didn't think of that, I'm quite the same when woken up! I usually make silly jokes or lovingly cuddle the person I'm laying next to, which are usually my friends.

  • I can't sleep during night but can sleep during the day regardless of how long I have been up. If I am awake for three days straight I still have troubles sleeping at night all while it being easier during the day.

I don't usually get to sleep until three or four in the morning and then get four hours or so sleep.

I can only get to sleep when I am cold, otherwise I never get to sleep.

I rarely have dreams but when I do they tend to be of a negative manner, either someone I know is dies, I die, multiple people die or I get scared by something to the extreme, there are exceptions, though.

I love my sleep but it's hard for me to get to sleep.

I have a fucked up sleep routine in general. I have no idea when I'll be able to fall asleep when I actually go to bed - sometimes I can lie there and relentlessly flop about like a magikarp for hours, and other times I KO as soon as my head hits the pillow.

But as soon as I'm asleep, I go into a state of temporary death. Ain't nothing gonna wake me up and I'm as still as a corpse. Sleep is good.

Ha! I know the feeling of toddlers battling you in their sleep. I can usually get between 5-7 hours on an average night. I dont move much and I have sinetines remember my dreams.

However lately I've had pregnancy induced insomnia. I twitch and can't get comfortable. Coupled with a todler pushing me off my pillow and a snoring husband, I often lay there for four hours wishing I didn't have to work in the morning. But on the flip side, I'm so exhausted that I can easily take a nap just about anywhere in the middle of the day provided someone is watching my kid.

They certainly keep you on your toes, I always feel like I'm getting a good two hours worth of cardio in while watching and chasing after my niece. Awe haha congratulations on being pregnant though!

I have lucid dreams about flying quite often. I've also dreamt of a merman who appears to be half dolphin and half young Gerard Butler.

Unfortunately, however, I also have recurring nightmares about working at a radio station that is having continuous technical difficulties as well.

To get to sleep, I watch a video or listen to the radio. While sleeping, I'm dead as a doorknob. I could have several jenga towers on my bed, all of them will go completely undisturbed until I wake up.

I take a medication that often causes me to have extreme dreaming. Like sometimes it takes a good 5-10 minutes to realize that what just happened was a dream. Whereas most people (and I remember before my medication) it would only take 5-10 seconds. So for me, it's all about the dreams. And this isn't always a bad thing. Sure we all know that we can have fun dreams, or even sexy ones. :-)

    What sleep?
    Nah.
I am nocturnal, and have a double bed for myself and the books that I can't choose between reading. I spread out with knee right out.

Usually, I get home and fall asleep about 2-3 hours later. Then I wake up sometime around 10:00 PM, or in the middle of the night. Then I check some stuff online and fall back asleep, if I can. I'm lucky if I sleep for most of the night. For the past two days I decided to put on my headphones and listen to music while I sleep, but then I wake up literally every single hour, so I don't get very much sleep. My sleeping schedule is pretty fucked up right now.

go to my room at about midnight, watch tv shows and mindlessly surf for hours, start listening to a podcast at about three, start feeling tired after about half an hour and turn it off, start thinking then after a long time of that turn the podcast back on and fall asleep at around 4, wake up at 8

  • I have lots of sleep problems. I seem to have no circadian rhythm and forcing a sleep schedule only makes me feel worse. I'm a hypersomniac but sometimes don't feel tired for days. I have sleep apnea and have to sleep with a breathing machine. I have sleep movement problems and punch and kick violently in my sleep. When I had a girlfriend she stopped sleeping with me because I would accidently hurt her in my sleep. I also sleep talk and have regular nightmares and other crazy dreams.

It takes me a little bit to fall asleep, and when Im asleep any noise can wake me up. Thats due to the military. When Im in a relationship and sleepibg next to the woman then its a different story. I can fall asleep faster and sleep better.
