What's your favorite thing about where you live?

I'm not talking about your town/city.
I mean your actual house (apartment/duplex/trailer/shanty).

For me it's that I live right on the river, a five minute walk from the Pacific Ocean and a five minute drive from the forest.

Also I can walk to a half dozen pot shops inside of 10 minutes.

Help us keep this site organized and clean. Thanks!

I like my internet. Does that count? I don't get out much.

I live in an apartment. It's quite cozy and the way it's set up its hard to imagine it's an apartment especially at night with the livingroom lights on which are not bright and the curtains closed, they are just bright enough to enhance the coziness. There is a small balcony with a tiny table and two plastic chairs. We live in a courtyard so we have a lot of privacy, no road or traffic noise. We also have an outdoor pool that is available in the summer months. I am up in Canada the land of the Frozen Chosen. 😊

All the stores I need are a 10 minute walk away. I like where I am.

Do you live in Russian River?

My favorite thing about my place is the roof. It keeps rain out and warmth in. Also I have a fully functional toilet that makes my stinkies disappear.

My favorite thing about where I live is the occasional crackhead vs. methhead fights I can watch through the window in the comfort of my home.

Just kidding. That does happen though.

My real favorite thing is probably that I actually have a place to sleep. My backyard is pretty nice. The house itself is decent.. but it looks like a drug dealers house.. Probably because it is lol

Well, its out in the country, decent yard, and its cheap to rent, as it's from a family friend.

Also, even though its out in the country, its not far from town, the On ramp for the Interstate is maybe 5-10 miles from me, and there are many towns that are within a 20 mile span.

So, i'm out of the city enough its quiet, yet not too far that I have to drive 100 miles to a Supermarket.

My parents are somewhat well-off and I still live with them, so I'm enjoying a nice, clean, 2-story house with an internet service second only to fiber. The house is located in a quiet suburb within walking distance of a farm, traffic is always nice, and everything else is only a 10-minute drive away.

In fact, the only thing I don't like about it is the fact that I'm 26, so there's societal pressure for me to move out.

I love the museums! My city has several large galleries that are always cycling new exhibits. Just recently I visited a Pixar exhibit where several animators demonstrated how digital animation works. Not to mention the real-life mummies we have!

I also adore the Deep-Dish? Our city has the best food. I went to New Orleans and it didn't even hold a candle to our soul food and Creole. The hot dogs are delicious too!

Oh! Oh! I also love all the festivals. You can't walk in either direction without running into some sort of convention or concert in the summer.

Lol, yes! The state government is pretty corrupt and I've never felt worse bitter winds in the winter, but I grew up here so I love it regardless.

I live in two different places right now.

My house: The Pathmark plaza is only a 5 minute walk, so I can get certain food ingredients, hair products, or video games easily. Also, the Target I work at is a six minute drive.

My boyfriend's house: Osprey Park beach is only a two minute walk away. It's nice to just look at the water and the different birds that go there. The swans are jerks though. They'll chase you just for sitting on a bench. Lol

Everything! The neighborhood, how spacious it is, my plants and hummingbird, all the fun and slightly unusual stuff I have it decorated with that make me happy to look at. Yours sounds great, too! :)

I’d say the community pool and the lake.
Probably 90 percent my dog as well

My house: it's pretty central and I can get almost anywhere I need to independently (I don't drive).

My boyfriend's house: he lives there and the scenery is beautiful. And there are squirrels and sometimes deer in the yard. And hummingbirds.

But the internet has been less, since we just moved house and we don't have internet yet.

Privacy, we can have bbqs, bonfires, party's till late.
No fences, my dog has the run of the place.
Most days I don't even lock my doors when I leave.
Town is a 5 minute drive.
Just the winters I'm not happy with here.

  • Good and tasty food right from the yard. Soon I will return to the student accommodation in town where the meat tastes like sand, the vegetables are garbage and the spices will make everything just bearable so I won't throw up all the miserable food people sell in supermarkets nowadays.
