I've took literary a FEW sips of beer before. I took a sip of wine and hated it and a sip of a margarita and hated it. So I've came to the conclusion I hate alcohol and will never drink again lol.

I think I had a few sips once. It was quite spiffing!

I know I'm being a horrible necromancer here, but… but… "spiffing"! :DDDDDD It's such a perfect word, and hearing it always makes me happy. I want to use it all the time, but I forget. Today, I shall practice: A nearby tienda has a bell on the door whose tintinnabulation is simply spiffing, and I'm tempted to absquatulate with it.

There! Three vocab words in one sentence. Candy, please!

Candy is forthcoming. Plus two extra words (albeit non-English ones). From my American girlfriend: Spiffertastic and super-marvy. She wouldn't mind you having them. :D

P.S. New English word for you: Tiffin. I had a great-aunt who would always ask, "Would you like a little tiffin?"

Oh, I made a new word!

splotchfodding (n): the delightful act of feeding a bit of banana to a small animal incapable of chewing with its mouth closed, such as a rabbit or turtle.

You could now pretty much figure out what I've been doing today.

I don't see what could be so spiffing about Tiffin, a city in Ohio? Isn't Ohio one of the most boring places on earth?

          • dappled

I have never had a spiffing tiffin but seeing as it's your birthday (and my day of horror has been cancelled) I shall prepare an inaugural spiffing tiffin of nothing muffins and air pies then blow them in your general direction. By the time you read this, the air right in front of your face will be air pie and the bit to your right will be nothing muffin. Feel free to chomp all you like. Happy birthday!

Delicious! A spiffing tiffin indeed! You really must share your recipes with me, as I've never baked such delicacies in my life. When I make air pie, it always has bubbles in the crust, and my nothing muffins rise a little too much.

Does "nothing muffin" rhyme in your accent? As I'm sure you know, some English people turning "th" into "f", so "nothing" would be something like "nuffin". It's called "th-fronting", and now I'm wondering if it's pronounced "tee aitch fronting" or "thuh frunting" (or "fuh fronting, as the case may be. F-f-f-fronting). Noel Fielding does it very noticeably. It's so noticeable, in fact, that "I fink it is", which he says in The Legend of Old Gregg, has become kind of a catch phrase in my family.

In my accent, "nothing muffin" doesn't really rhyme at all. If I say "nothin' muffin", it almost rhymes, but "nothing muffin" doesn't really work, as the "ng" seems to change the way I pronounce the "i". I don't really say "nothin'" very often. Oddly enough, I assumed that it rhymed when I read it. I suspect that I'm thinking in an entirely different accent from what I'm speaking in.

Now I'm wondering why "nothin' honey, beeeean soup" is also a sort of catch phrase in my family. I… I don't know. I just don't know.

I'm officially too young to drink, but that doesn't mean I don't enjoy drinking every once in a while. I both like the taste and the buzz.

Last summer I went on holiday to Ibiza with some friends and it's really easy to get alcohol there. Just order it, nobody asks for your age or anything. I was drunk just about the whole week and except for the hangovers it was the best holiday of my life!

I became an alcoholic addicted to beer. Alcohol became a gateway drug (oh yes, alcohol is a drug). It led to crack-cocaine addiction. I am now in rehab for the fourth time in 20 years. So don't drink or drug. You and your loved ones will be sorry.

An "adult beverage" Lol! That made me laugh.

I'm 20 years old now, so I can't legally buy it until next year, and I haven't touched any alcohol since I was 17. I used to get completely smashed when I was 14-17 and get my friend's dad to buy it for me. But I figured liver cancer isn't the way I want to go and no longer drink.

When I turned 18 I got drunk a bunch of times (legal drinking age in Alberta is 18) and it was a fun novel experience. After a few months it got kind of boring though and now I just drink craft beer for flavour and to increase appetite before a big meal. I drink one beer a day every day unless I am feeling down, in which case I avoid it because it makes a depressive or stressed mood much worse when it wears off. I would recommend you guys do the same. Don't ever drink when you are feeling off! Other than that have fun.

Also I should note that alcohol makes you feel warm and euphoric when it is still absorbing, but as soon as it starts wearing off (about 30-60 minutes after the last drink) you just start feeling fatigue no matter how drunk you are. That's why you should drink slowly, you will have a better time and it is healthier.

I've had several different alcoholic drinks but I don't think I've ever been drunk. I don't really drink that much in general and the most intoxicated I've ever been is when I took about 8 shots within 30 minutes, and even then it felt more like being moderately tipsy than being drunk. Maybe I just have a high tolerance for alcohol. I don't drink enough to really know and eh, I don't really care either. Honestly I just don't like the way it makes me feel. It makes me less anxious but it also just makes me dizzy and tired. I don't enjoy it.

I should have stayed at the bar one night but i left and missed out on the good action that went on, but once i start to drinking i have a choice either keep on or drink a few and leave but i screwed my self over that night.

    "I enjoy a slight buzz"

I picked this because it's the closest to what I am, but not exactly.

I drink because I like the taste. However I usually keep it at one drink, which isn't enough to get me any kind of buzz.

Yes I've been drunk. I've puked. I've done dumb stuff while drunk. These days I just drink a beer with dinner and usually that's it. Or a couple of glasses of wine.

And really - TASTE MATTERS. I won't drink something I dislike. ... which means for me no IPA beers and no budweiser. Seriously i'll drink water first. thanks.

DVRB's are essential to a good night out, pre drinks I usually make my own Jagerbombs but with a lot less Red Bull. Getting wasted has become part of teenage culture, makes all of your problems go away... for a while, but then they come back with their friend Uncle Hangover.

I drink like every two weeks. It's not really appealing to me anymore. Before I was of legal age it was exciting, but once you go out a few times it just gets old.

I have a very complicated, emotional relationship with drugs and alcohol so I won't go into detail, but being drunk isn't all that exiting for me and I think the taste is just awfull.

That sounds like a nice combination either. I once drank Beerenburg-coke, that was nice too. Beerenburg is a local Dutch drink with herbs and stuff, not bad but too strong to drink it pure (altough some do).

I've had sips from my grandma's beer bottles when I was a young'n but I didn't like it then and I don't like it now. I'd take a Sierra Mist, cranberry juice, water...just about anything over an alcoholic beverage. nasty =P

That's logical because you picked beer, wich tastes like piss. You should have picked wine, I'm sure you would have liked that.
