What's up with moderation deleting posts?

So many troll posts are left alone yet it seems that as soon as a post gets users properly interacting and joking with each other it gets taken down, I get a notification that leads to 404 rather than a good/funny conversation, so here's my question ( not that this'll be up for long probably ) is it normal to feel sometimes that mods almost seem to want to screw with the site?

    If theyre up on the main site, that's not the mods.

    That's some douchebag getting butthurt, or thinking they're funny and deciding to fuck with everyone else's fun by reporting it.

    Then it gets sent to moderation.

    Then the moderators generally fuck it further because they seem to be illiterate shit slinging monkeys. And I'm being generous there.

      So that's why my IIN Mistletoe post was pointlessly sent to the purgatory known as Moderation? From what other users have told me in the past, it can take up to two weeks to see a post back on the main page.

        I noticed :( I clicked the 'it's good' choice for the gold user moderation, but who seriously believes they pay any attention? :(

          Yeah, I do not for one second believe that the choices for gold members to help with moderation have any effect whatsoever. Completely pointless.

            Yup.

            When was the last time the site had any updates? I'm thinking well over a year.

            Good job he introduced gold to pay for him to be able to spend more time on improving the site...I dunno where we'd be without it...

              Lol, it has been a long time. It wouldn't surprise me if it WAS well over a year, it sure seems like it, but I'm really bad with keeping up with time spans...

              I don't know if this is what you were talking about, but the last time that anything was 'updated' was when the moderation process changed. Still hate it by the way. I'm sure everyone knows that by now. Seems like I'm the only one still harping on it though. Lol

              The last time anything positive was done for the sight was back when IIN Gold first came out. Maybe a little before that too. Udi was still active at that time and actually implemented new features semi-regularly.

      But then that's still a problem with mods, even if it's not them personally doing it they've designed a system in which anything can get fucked over

        To my knowledge, the moderators didn't design the site. They're just paid (ffs...) employees. TheManagement designed the site.

    I've been trying to figure out the problems here for a while and have come to the conclusion that this site has poor security, flawed programming, and a lack of general effort from the staff.
