A masquerade ball! While traveling would be cool too, so would some scary/adventurous situation that ties you together. I know this guy who's in the British military, he was in a bar in America when this psycho comes in and starts shooting up the place, he tried to disarm the guy and in the process got shot, this lady was there who was a newly graduated nurse, she began to look after him. Afterwards, she visited him everyday in the hospital. They've been happily married for 20 years.
Agreed, you'd automatically wanna be close to each other due to familiarity.

There is something very romantic about sharing the adventure of travel with someone special. Wether you go 1 mile or 10,000 miles.
I think while travelling, it has the whole "summer romance" or fling feeling about it....it's all exciting because you're away from home and everything's so much more interesting...
In a foreign country where she's the only one from the same place as you. It kind of ties you together right from the start.
