What's the latest a son should sleep in the same bed with his mom?

No matter how unlikely it is that you'd have to, that's not the same thing as if it's wrong or not. I did sleep in the same bed as my dad on trips to Johns Hopkins (but it was a huge bed). I'm the same sex though.

It's only natural. The parent and child are actually attached to each other, so they have a deeper love that is only subconsciously apparent to even their minds. If they want to have sex, go ahead.

CripmasterG You have slept with your momma to much. She give you a BJ or rim job when you was 10 to 17?

Assuming that the family is able to easily afford the child a bed, I'd say 5, IF THAT.

I say that because I have a relative who is 15 and still sleeps with his Mom. He is now dependent on that and it's going to be awkward when he hits puberty and starts waking up with wood. Gotta encourage kids to be independent. That's the point of parenting. Preparing them to depend on themselves.

    • He's 15 and hasn't had puberty yet? What kind of child is that? And what do you mean by dependant? Sounds abnormal. When I was 15, I'd much rather sleep with a comforter and imagine it's a girl.

Some kids don't hit puberty until late... I guess. I mean when I say dependent is that he does not like sleeping without her and has to be fought to do so.

  • If the family can't spare an extra bed and the kid isn't complaining, I think they could get away with it until he's 10... so I said 9. Kick him out on his 10th birthday... haha.

my co-worker's hot 18yo daughter slept with him, while his wife slept in another room. that was the regular sleeping arrangement. i thought that was strange. no, i don't know if he was banging her.

My cousin is 19, and she loves to sleep in bed with her parents.

Aw heck, I am not sleeping with my daughter till 19. That's college age, and it's creepy that you don't mind knowing so much about when we're not screwing!

But what if the child, lets say 4, has a nightmare and needs the comfort of his parents? Children will not sleep in a dark room, alone after a nightmare.

    No limit.
Some people are poor, some mothers can't afford a separate bed for her son, so they don't have choise. I rather sleep in the same bed as my parents. Than have nothing.

I've never slept with my mom or dad in the same bed on a regular basis. I think if it's a regular thing especially with the parent of the opposite sex it would be weird. Although I understand it ocassionally if it's a child whose having nightmares. Also I guess temporarily if the person had some terrible traumatizing experience.

I think it's because BOTH her parents got cancer when she was 15 (prostate and pancreatic), and both recovered. It probably reassures her that they are both there.

I don't think it matters how old you are. For me, I would say around under 5 is the appropriate age for a kid to stop sleeping with his/her mother and father. Ages 5 and up would be appropriate also if the family can not afford more beds.

Regularly, NO OLDER than a very small child, like 5 at the absolute maximum. But I can see an older boy being allowed to sleep with his parents in the case of a nightmare or something. I'm a girl but I slept with my parents probably around once a year up to around age 14 when I had a scary dream. I usually slept on the floor of my parents room though, not in their bed lol

I had to sleep in the same bed as my mom at 7 because there was only one room and the rest of the house had strange shit going on.
Before that I had my own room but I don't remember ever sleeping in the same bed with her after that or before that.
    I'd say never.

If you are poor or do not have enough rooms and share it that is understandable at any age. Little kids will often run to mommy and daddy if they are scared when they are little. I voted 8.

In a situation where there isn't enough beds, I think it's perfectly acceptable for them to share a bed no matter what the age (so long as it's only temporary). It might be a bit awkward, but it's much better than sleeping on the floor :P
