What's the difference between an alcoholic and a social drinker?
I think I'm a social drinker, someone who enjoys drinking but doesn't NEED to drink to deal with life. I love cocktails, I enjoy having drinks just like I enjoy having coffee. I hate it when people close to me like family or friends look at me like I'm some type of alcoholic. Like no get a sense of humor or relax and take a chill pill when I start getting excited there's going to be an open bar, or drinks, etc. When I'm with my friends I usually hang out with, I'm usually the one to drink less. But regardless, I am a social drinker and some conservative people just don't get it. An alcoholic to me is someone who can't move on or persist without drinking. I can but I choose to have a drink if I want one. I guess cause the term "alcohol" has a negative connotation to it, I can't be like "I love alcohol!" unlike "I love coffee!" I drink coffee like water btw lol. I'm 23 btw, I feel like it's normal to still be excited to go out and drink knowing your limit and stuff...sheesh.
P.S. I like fruity drinks or beer!
