School is the easiest place. If you are not going to school its kind of hard. Yay no social life!

I would say Recreational Facilities, School, Entertainment Events, Sports Events, College or Religious places because of the higher probability that you would have shared interests with the person that you meet.
For me, I would go for school. It is the environment that I am most comfortable in.
Either school or work. By work, I don't mean a coworker..more a customer.
I guess at schools, though I met most of my friends at summer camp.
If you're talking about acquaintances, anywhere from a library to a flower shop would do. Who knows, those random conversations could eventually lead to a life long friendship or more.
Meet new people? I'd say public transport or bars. Lasting friendships? Most likely to find in school or recreational facilities.
Note that I said 'most likely', other places aren't ruled out. I met some of my best friends at bars or random activities. any of the places you mentioned sound like a good place
Yeah, sure! Especially now you can't smoke in bars and beers cost almost as much as a small tractor. (in my city, anyway)
Sure, I throw them on occasion. And my neighbors set up a stage in their backyard to accommodate live bands. The last one turned into a midnight mural painting party. Good times.
The Cactus Club in Gosnells. But that is a shadowy place and you must never go there.
