I'm just interested to see people's thoughts on the books or even in film/show of the two series. I always hear this argument, but I'm just curious to know what everyone thinks?

Vampire Diaries and Twilight are mostly about romance. Aren't vampire's suppoed to be monsters and not prince charming?
GTFO. :| Twilight is the biggest piece of crap i have ever read/seen. Vampire Diaries is pretty much the same just slightly less sick. Therefore i say if you want a good Vamp Read go read Dracula. Want a good vamp film? Go watch Van Helsing.
it would have to be vampire diaries (never seen it) cause i paid good money to see twilight and i want a refund
I can't believe that new twilight movie made like 250 mil worldwide this weekend. More than half of that was the US alone! Ughhhh!!!!

I've read the first Vampire Diaries books, and I read all the Twilight books and saw the first 2 movies. I haven't seen the Vampire Diaries TV show.
The Vampire Diaries T.V show is much better than Twilight. Plus, the show didn't follow the books exactly. They changed it up and made it better. Twilight sucks in my opinion, but TVD is great! The first season is slightly cheesy but then it gets very dark and creepy.
There was no way I'd pay 12.90 to see a shit film. To sum up, I am completely sick of vampires.
At least on Vampire Diaries they actually drink blood and kill people :p (oh and burst into flames in the sun not sparkle). . . Just saying, but if you really wanna know I say Anne Rice's Vampire Chronicles. But that's just me >.<
Vampire Diaries is less sucky than Twilight, though neither are particularly good.

Sorry, but the only vampire show I like is Hellsing.
I hate most things with vampires in.
The only thing I like is Being Human.
I love Being Human, too. Both Us and Uk versions. To me that show has more depth than anything like Twilight or even Vampire Diaries. Although, I answered that Vampire Diaries is better than Twilight simply because Vampire Diaries sticks to the traditional vampire more so than Twilight does.
But Being Human kicks both their asses.
