'Uralic', would probably be a better description, except in its present context, it could easily be confused with the Finno-Ugric peoples, proper.With modern genetic evidence, and to the best of my current knowledge, it is becoming quite clear that the ancestral tribes which inhabit Europe and adjoining areas, originated in or near the Ural mountain region, not in the Caucasus mountains, as was previously thought.

Depends on which definition of prevalent you mean...
1.Widespread in a particular area at a particular time.
OR
2.Predominant; powerful.
For 1. the simple fact is white, they have the highest numbers.For 2. it is a little closer race, but I think the truth is that whites still hold more power. Which in part comes from their larger numbers. I mean 72.4% of America was white during the 2010 census.
