  • Is this a veiled attempt to find out where certain posters are? Just curious.

Sometimes I wish I didn't wonder about things like that. In many ways good vision can be just as deceptive as blindness.

Of those I know almost none of them got married. I can think of two couples right now.

And my location is Earth. Y>:(B?

Well, I have three brothers and one sister and each one of them married their college sweetheart. I on the other hand, did not. Almost did, but I didn't. Got married to a young woman I saw coming out of a store. Love at first sight. It's a long complicated story, but the short version is, I basically rescued her from a relationship that was going nowhere fast, with a guy that was going lots of other places really fast. Started dating and now married 24 years and still going strong!

I can't tell you in percentage. If you made a poll like :1 or more. 2 or more. Then I would vote. Since not alot of people I know are married. I know 2 couples though. 1 was a teacher, the other is my boyfreinds grandparents.

  • @andrian007 Thank you for your comment. I didn't mean to exclude people from other parts of the world, I just wanted to focus on the US, and the differences in the 2 regions.

Here in the UK, the highest percentage of college students who eventually marry each other is St Andrew's University at 50%. So I guess most college students here eventually marry someone they know outside college.

I have no idea. I know people that are in college, but I've never bothered to ask them about their personal lives.

This website hosts people from many parts of the world. There are a LOT of people who can't answer this poll.

      • And they don't have to answer. To go world wide involved too many cultures, and would not give an accurate view of the American situation.

Five out of the twelve of my college graduating class (in my department) are married or are getting married. Three married couples in my high school class of 250. No telling how many of the unmarried couples will get married in the next couple years. Then again, I live in a state where lots of people get married kinda young, so I voted 20%.

  • It is just to see if it varies in certain areas of the country.
