The "best" kind of music is the one each of us prefers. There's no universal one "best", as such, only personal favorites.
I like many kinds of music. Rock, metal, reggae, blues, jazz, trance, classical...
Post-Modern Impressionistic Medieval Country Hawaiian Jazz. But only the early stuff from like late 40's to mid 50's.
Well, like a fine wine, there are different types for every palette. Truth be told, however, that the best music comes from talent. When people say 'I like good music', they are actually referring to songs that have something that catches their particular taste, or reminds them of a feeling or emotion they can relate to in their own lives. So you get a big ass'd beat that comes on in the club, and the girls think back to that summer night that they tagged blah de blah. A guy in the pit hears his favorite headbanger and it reminds him of the time he kicked some ass in a 3-on-1 fight when he was a kid. Something like that. :)
Hip hop, R&B, Grime, some jazz, some pop, Tiny bit of rock(linkin park, kings of leon) and only a Tinyyy tinyyy bit of classic <--only from my mum.LOL.

i put any music. but i meant anything i would describe as music. which does not include rap, pop or R&B. unless mixed with another, better genre, such as rock or punk. also, where is punk? i like classical, rock, punk, metal, even a bit of screamo, but the genres i know best, and also very slightly prefer are punk and rock/alternative rock
I listen to all kinds except country (and rarely rap/hip hop) but if I had to choose a favourite I would be split between Baroque and Progressive Metal.
Haha, rockers and metalheads outnumbered Hop-Hip. YEAH! METAL ALL THE WAY!!!
I only listen to Australian hip hop mainly. Like Hilltop Hoods, TZU, Funkoars.
But the odd Metallica, Lily Allen, Queen, Nickleback.
