if you blatantly ignore your enemy when she or he tries to talk to you and avoid eye contact and avoid them, eg if you are standing by the elevator and he or she comes and you leave and go alternative way like going to different elevator or taking the stairs.
what kind of message would that send ? would they know you dislike them?
Sounds like someone is being extremely childish. That's the only message I see here; I'm a spoiled little brat and I want everybody to notice me. Wah, wah, wah.
It's pretty ridiculous to intentionally ignore someone purely so they know you are ignoring them.
Childish mind games is what that is.
It would piss me off if someone ignored me. I do not like to be ignored and I would probably not react well.
Well it can be perceived different ways depending on your body language. It would be quite offensive to them and even provocative if you are a confident type and wanted to make it really obvious that you were ignoring them, because that just screams of arrogance. If you are more the timid type it could be perceived that you are frightened and trying not to be noticed.
I don't consider anyone my enemy. I am not fighting any wars that I am aware of. But if there was someone that I didn't particularly like, and they left me alone and didn't bother me I would be pretty happy about that.
Don't be surprised if the person does some passive aggressive stuff to upset you.
I don't see much use for the silent treatment , is there a reason you don't like this person? do they even know ? it doesn't sound like it .
i just have no interest in talking to them and they were hurtful towards me.so I am hoping ignoring them would hurt them.does it?
