The 1812 Overture. All seventeen minutes of it. If you want a grandstand finish when your muscles have long since given up and you're working on pure adrenaline, this is it.

P.S. Also works for sex, and the bells and cannon fire add a certain je ne sais quoi to any encounter.

Although I'm normally more of a classic rock girl, I like listening to hip hop when working out. It has a good beat that keeps me moving. My favorite would have to be "Get Busy" by Sean Paul.

Death Metal, or Folk Metal. I tend to just get myself pissed off while doing weights or going for a run, being angry (at nothing really, I just put myself in an demented mindset :P And I feel really happy after I go ape exercising for like an hour or two ^^.

    Hum....

Celtic and Power Metal mostly.(But I'm careful as people tend to categorize wrong bands into those. If it's up to "debate" it's probably fine with me, i never was much into categorizing too accurately...)

I know it was about a song, but i can't really choose, sometimes i feel "softer", sometimes "harder".

*Even though I listen to mostly just rock music, I recently heard this old song on television the other day and it caught my attention. People just don't make rap like the old school stuff anymore...

LL Cool J - Mama Said Knock You Out

Oh, and you have to watch the music video for it. He's even lifting weights and stuff :)

  • Johnny Cash - God's gonna cut you down.
    Feeder - Renegades

Just some songs that get me in the mood for an uprising, or when I'm doing something I'm not supposed to.

I love that album! It was so good that I think of it as being the most recent Daft Punk as opposed to being a soundtrack album. I hope they will compose for other films.

I agree. The soundtrack definitely stole the spotlight in that film.

oh, there are a lot of bands and songs that get me going, usually the heavier and more aggressive -the better. death/metal/hard-core stuff works fine (the funny thing, unless i'm pumping iron or doing cardio i rarely even listen to heavy styles of music).

but there's just heavy and there's THIS:
    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OiNAact_1vM

Fucking perfect -heavy bag workouts, shadow boxing, punching drills and pure explosive runs. if you listen to this before you get into the ring you're gonna put someone into a comma, trust me!
