I've always liked quotes like that, I don't care if they are overused or not.
I'm me, like it or not and I won't squish myself to fit into anyone's concept of the world :3
Self-acceptance is definitely preferable to chasing popularity, but there should obviously be common sense limits to it. I mean what if someone said "I'm proud to be a thief. It's in my nature to steal and I won't change because I don't care about others." I'm just using an extreme example to show the importance of considering the effect we have on other people. Maybe I'm reading too much into the quote, but it sounds hyper-individualistic to me.
I voted 'alright.' It's an honest quote but it doesn't really trigger anything new or unheard of. It just means that it's better to be oneself because there's nobody else like you in the world, rather than trying to be the same as everyone else.
its important to be comfortable with who you are. im not bothered about fitting in
cute and true, "i'm going this way and your going that way so....goodbye " fave quote from traffic cop :)
I don't particularly like that, it reminds me of some of the annoying users on tumblr. There's no substance to it, it's like shallow water.
This quote makes me just think about all the annoying people on my wall who feel the need to tell the world how special they are because they pretend not to care about what people, yet they feel the need to say this in order to get likes.
