Well I prefer Post-Hardcore over Metal but I just love Metal, Alternative Metal, Melodic Death Metal etc... yeah almost everything like Metal^^
speed, thrash, progressive, progressive thrash, groove, and occasionally nu, power, or symphonic.
Fuck, I voted the wrong choice… Anyway, my favourite is Symphonic Metal. Who ever knew that blend opera elements with metal could be be so wonderful? Its like the two were made for each other. I used to like other genres but, I've been passing out listening to metaling general. I only listen to it every now and then or during car drives where loud and hard toned music is necessary to keeping those behind the wheel awake.
i like life simple... who will learn and remember so many metals.. i know that yes there is an element called metal... and thats enough -only metal- i don't care if it is of either type.....
There isn't most of them are made up. This is the problem with metal fans, they like to turn every different metal sound they hear into a sub-genre.
At the end of the day it's just metal(or heavy metal)
Well I have only heard of metal , heavy metal , and DEATH METAL ! Which is just diffrent degrees of the harshness of metel . I heard of Glam metal but from what I know it is more 80s metel . Also I thought black metel and death metal was the same thing ? I dont know what the hell metalcore is ? Also the thing with metal is most of it is just Garbage I hate most metal as anyone thinks loud banging and screaming till your ears bleed and your eyes explode is music . I like metal were it is not all screaming it has a good beat , there can be some screaming but it still brings out a song not mindless screeching this is why I would have to pick Rock over Metal not becuase metal is worse as it is Harsher but so few poeple know what real metal is .
i disagree with that. there are different artistic styles and composition. You cant just lump them all together. I think perhaps you have a hang up on metal fans so are accusing them of being pedantic.
I...had no idea there were so many kinds of metal...What's the diff between Symphonic Black Metal, Symphonic Metal and Melodic Death Metal? Band examples, please.
Post hardcore, metalcore and hardcore punk. Mostly Christian labels bands, though.

Most of them, though I have to say Heavy Metal. I also like Thrash, NWOBHM, and Power Metal. Math Metal and Christian Metal is fucking strange.
heavy metal is just another term for metal!!
