Silly, but it wouldn't happen: small girls prefer tall guys and vice versa.
This, most women want a relatively taller man than they are (even if he's not very tall, just taller than her), and the same for men wanting smaller women. I'm sorry but a "shorter guy + taller girl" pairing always looks painfully awkward.
And more often than not, it balances out, because (I think anyway) you inherit height genes from both your mother and father. A person will normally be roughly the same as one parent or between their parents' heights (men grow closer to their fathers' height while women stay closer to their mother's, typically)
I am 6'2" and so are my two brothers. My dad is 5'6" and my mother is shorter
[insert crass milkman joke here]
That's cool, I said "normally". You just buck the trend, I have a cousin who is the same.
But generally speaking, what I said stands. I'm between my parents' heights (taller than my mother but only slightly shorter than my Dad was), and so are most people I know.
