What is your opinion on 'spoilers'?

What would you feel if, while you are watching/reading (the beginning of) a movie/television episode/book etc, a piece of information is revealed (the ending, or parts considered important), e.g. on a review site, or by your friend who already saw it? This is known as a spoiler, as some people tend to find out that piece of information by themselves, instead of knowing it before they watch it, so they would get the surprises etc.

Personally I don't mind if I get the information prior watching a movie in which the information is about. So what do you think about this?

Neutral/I don't mind 16
Very good/Saves time and money 4
Good/I would love to know all about the plot before watching/reading 0
Bad/I want to find out myself 18
Very bad/Spoilers should be banned 11
Other 1

It depends if it was something I was really looking forward to, and whether the element of suspense is important to the enjoyment of it. I was given spoilers about the ending of Skyfall before I saw it, and I didn't mind too much because I wasn't very excited for it. I'd probably have watched it, but it wouldn't have been the highlight of my week. It was enough to put me off watching it because it seemed like the suspense would have been key to the enjoyment of the film, but I might not even have watched it anyway.

It I was given spoilers about something like Doctor Who or Sherlock I would be much less happy though.

Hate hate hate hate hate them! Whenever it happens I always get an awful feeling. Usually because it's my own fault as well. I have a curiosity to find out about the book/film before I read/watch it, so I read about it online, which makes me just want to kick myself because there are bound to be spoilers. Although I have an aunty who makes it her mission to spoil everything! I did it back to her once, and she got really annoyed about it, pfft! It sort of makes me dislike the person, and it really pisses me off sometimes. I don't usually hold grudges, but if someone spoils something for me, I don't forget it.

I now make an effort to avoid spoilers. Most of the time, spoilers don't ruin it. With some stuff though, I always wonder about how I would have reacted without knowing it. I always feel like I've missed out because of it, because I didn't get surprised like how I was supposed to. Although, recently, I've been guessing the endings to things way before it happens, which is sort of weird, but mainly annoying. Maybe I need to watch something more unpredictable.:/

i like to know what happens if we are reading in a book in class or something, but if it is something that I was looking forward to, people better not tell me what happens or i will bother them about it constantly.

It pisses me off, I don't know why people feel the need to do it.

I hate spoliers. It destroys whole suprise. Like when I was watching One Piece and and accidentaly read about death of a character it wasn't so shocking when I got to that episode (I still cried though).

I actually go looking for spoilers because I like to know what's coming up next in my favourite TV shows and books and stuff. Particularly when I know an event such as a character death is coming up, I want to know who it is so that I'm prepared in case it's a character I like.
