What is your opinion on heavy metal?

Heavy metals like lead, mercury and cadmium are highly poisonous.

I prefer it be lighter, it depends on the distance I’m carrying it.

I started listening as a joke and fell in love with a few bands, they sing my rage in a way no-one else can.

I loved Thrash and Death Metal as a teenager as well as more traditional metal and even some of the hair/glam metal or ‘cock rock’ as it was sometimes called. There was no rivalry or genre divide for me and I was happy listening to the more extreme likes of Anthrax, Slayer, Exodus, Suicidal Tendencies, Megadeth, Metallica, Sepultura, Testament, Death, Carcass, and Obituary, et al; as I was to trad bands like Iron Maiden, Judas Priest, and Black Sabbath, and hair metal like W.A.S.P., Guns ‘n Roses, Skid Row, Faster Pussycat, Dogs D,Amour and Motley Crue. Loved it all.

I feel like its one of those things that if you like it you really love it and those who don't like it can't stand it. I personally love it, and as a music person who enjoys many different genres such as jazz and indie I can can assure you metal has deep layers of musical theory that is both fascinating and good to listen to.
