House and Wilson in a heartbeat. Dysfunctional sure but also the most profound and at times grimly-real friendship

Turk and JD would be my close second

I liked Joey and Phoebe's friendship from friends better. And who doesn't love bert and ernie?

There are some good choices there. Im not familiar with all of them so its hard to say. So I will add my own, a classic: Lucy and Ethel. I love Lucy.

I feel female friendships are sadly under represented on this list. But I'm having a hard time thinking of some. Why is that?

Buffy and Willow. Or Willow and Xander from Buffy.

    Bones and Angela from Bones.

    • I tried not including opposite sex friendships cause there is always romantic undertone to them sooner later

Monica+Rachel, Buffy+Willow are definitely two of most popular lady friendships

Nice list. I put beavis & butthead. I like futurama and the office but those friendships are not interesting to me..
Other ones - (from trailer park boys) Ricky and Julian (and Bubbles.. Or Bubbles and his kitties x) as well as Corey and Trevor
Also Bart & Milhouse or ash & pikachu ^^

How come you understand there is another gender when there are only two of them, but not understand there is another nationality when there at least a few hundred?

I would say Clarke and Lex, but Lex is cooler when he becomes evil and is no longer in need of any friends. Lex is a villan and it chapped my ass seing everyone walk allover him when he was nice, in the first few seasons of Smallville.
I realise that Sam and Dean in Supernatural are brothers, but they're friends too. They're constantly putting their asses on the line for one another and I think its nice to see family that cares so much about eachother, even if it is only in a tv series.

    • I very much agree with you on Clarke and Lex and glad to see you mention them. It is one of those relationships that could of been the best friendship or greatest rivalry. No middle ground and it ended up being the latter

    • I have yet to see that show and I have it on bluray for over a year. I know I will love it but I want to see it on a massive screen with a home theater system for the bestest experience

  • Beavis and Butt-Head is my favorite show.

I also like Futurama a lot as my other favorite show.

I think Beavis and Butt-Head is funniest while Futurama has the best plots. (and I agree with a lot of their scientific philosophy.)

Family Guy, Southpark and The Simpsons used to be other favorites but they have disappointed me the last several years (with exception of a few Simpsons episodes.)

I liked King of the Hill better, but to each their own I suppose. They're both great shows, and each one relates to a different core audience I think.

        • My ultimate cartoon character party would be Beavis and Butthead, Fry, Bender, Homer Simpson, Randy Marsh, Cartman, Louise (Bobs Burgers) Peter Griffin, Stewie, Brian, Roger (American Dad) and Ren and Stimpy.
