What is your favorite 80's saturday morning cartoon?

It was a sad realization the other day that there is no longer Saturday morning Cartoons on TV. I remember waking up super early every saturday to watch all the new shows. I feel lucky that I grew up in the 1980s so to re-awake the nostalgia I am putting up this poll. The Following choices have all began in 80s and possibly ran into the 90s so don't get confused

Transformers 8
G.I. Joe 3
He-man and the Masters of the Universe 5
The Smurfs 5
Pound Puppies 2
Care Bears 4
Voltron: Defender of the Universe 1
Muppet Babies 1
The Real Ghostbusters 1
Disney's Adventures of the Gummi Bears 0
Inspector Gadget 3
Spider-Man and His Amazing Friends 0
Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles 3
Dungeon & Dragons 0
She-Ra: Princess of Power 2
Jem 0
Fraggle Rock 2
My Little Pony 1
The Raccoons 1
Duck Tales 3
Thundercats 2
Chip n' Dale Rescue Rangers 4
M.A.S.K. 0
The New Adventures of Winnie the Pooh 2

Help us keep this site organized and clean. Thanks!

    Hiya,

I loved Jem so much I still dye my hair funny colours (blue-black, red, purple) now. I had a pair of her earrings made for me too -- wear them every day.

It's only now that I see it in a different way – it saddens me but I suppose we all have to grow up at some point!

I quite enjoyed watching the Smurfs, but never could understand why there was just one Smurfette in the whole village LOL

I always watched Looney Toons, Popeye, and Tom and Jerry with my dad on Saturday mornings. And after school I always watched the Disney lineup. Ducktales was my favorite.

And my cat's name is Fraggle :)

Popeye! I forgot Popeye. When Descartes talks about existence being a function of thought, everyone agrees, but when Popeye defines his being purely as self (I am what I am), it's somehow comedy.

I am such a huge fan for transformers that I have tattooed their logos on my body.
Words couldn't describe my love for them.

I'd always watch Looney Tunes with my whole family on Saturday mornings, then pretty much everything else on your list. lol, Jem and the Holograms...I had the dolls, and around the same time Barbie came out with Barbie and the Rockers...had those too, and it came with a cassette tape. After school every day it was GI Joe then Heathcliff. GI Joe always had that lesson at the end that ended with "...and knowing is half the battle"!! Good times, good times....

Our TV days were short though, we moved in '91 and we were lucky to have electricity where we lived so cable was a memory from that point on...Cartoons today are crap aside from Adult Swim.

If they still reran Tom and Jerry cartoons, I'd watch them at any time of the day or night. Same goes for Road Runner, Top Cat and Scooby Doo. I like animals. If it has to be people, give me some classic anime. Very excited that they're doing a CGI version of Gatchaman this year.

From your list, though, probably Inspector Gadget.

My favourite cartoon ever, ever, ever, EVER, though, is this:

I don't know if you get Cartoon Network or Boomerang channels over there, but those channels run Tom and Jerry (I actually watched that this morning with my kids!) and Looney Tunes, among others. Many of those listed above are played on those channels.
