What is your dietary choice when it comes to eating?

This is not intended to start a flame war, nor is it intended to become a place of preaching or forced views. This is simply a poll I and hopefully others will find of interest. If you have any questions for me please ask.

I don't care what I eat as long as it satisfies my hunger. In fact, I couldn't even tell you what I had for lunch or dinner, just that I must've eaten coz I'm not hungry.

If my husband and son are away on holiday, I live on breakfast cereal. I hate cooking! I realy need to get sensible.

I'm a vegetarian, and have been for about 8 years:) I probably don't get 100% of every single mineral and vitamin that I'm supposed to, but I highly doubt that eating meat would affect that, it would probably make me more unhealthy.

But then again, I highly doubt that most people get ALL of the nutrition they need:)

I am constantly changing my diet to suit my needs. I see food as medicine and fuel. It isn't something I do out of habit or to fill a void. It is something I do to feel better and to feel balanced. If I feel unwell, the first thing I do is alter my eating habits. Sometimes this means consuming things I don't normally eat. And sometimes it means I avoid cheese.

My diet is mainly vegetarian and pescetarian, but I eat meat (mainly chicken) about once or twice a week and occasionally other types of meat as well (except for pork). For me it's definitely a case of quality over quantity, as I care about the welfare of animals and tend to buy free-range and/or organic animal products. So technically I'm what's known as a meat reducer.

vegan. I have to be a vegan or I'll die because I get sick when I eat any animal products. There are also ethical reasons I dont want to eat them, but that isnt the first reason I stopped eating them.

Temporary meat-eater. Something is going to snap soon though and I'm probably going to descend quickly and skip a few levels on the way down. I may even end up vegan again.

  • Milk has a protein in it called casein which greatly increases your chance of osteoporosis, degnerative disease and many cancers. Not to mention it is contaminated with blood and puss, and this is excepted as industry standard. Watch A Delicate Balance or
Forks over knives. The consumption of animal protein (meat, eggs and dairy) is the biggest health epidemic known to man today, they have killed more people in the last decade than, all the automobile accidents, natural disasters and all of the wars put together. Read A China Study it will blow your mind.

No, actually drinking milk prevents osteoporosis by building bones, blood and puss are not normally in milk either, and eating animal proteins is not the problem, not having an active lifestyle is.

I can't put myself in a specific category. I haven't eaten beef or pork in quite a while. Chicken and turkey sometimes, but I try to be mostly vegetarian. I go vegan once in a while if I want to lose a few pounds. I love animals and hate how they are treated, but honestly, I do it mainly to maintain a healthier weight and better complexion :)
