What is the right etiquette

My friend found a course and plan to enrol. He only knew I'm attending the course when we were chatting later. So he said he could tell them that he was being referred and for the $800 reward, he would give me $150 and he takes $650. What do you think is the right etiquette?
1. He found the course himself, I did not recommend it to him
2. He needs a course attendee (me) to confirm that they've referred him or he can't get the $800.

I should not take any money 11

  • Yes but if you murder him then you get the full $800. To me its clear as a bell what you have to, WHAT YOU MUST DO.

I'm confused. You're taking the course which means you're referring him. Shouldn't they be giving you the money for referring another person? I've never heard of the person referred getting the gift. It should be split half and half because he found out about it but he needs you to get the money.

What course are you taking that they are so desperate to get attendees?

300/500 sounds about right. Set 100 aside each for a night out in the town to celebrate.

    Leaves you with 200/400 left.

  • @M.U. The course costs more than $10k so $800 is reasonable

If this course is giving away $800 bounties for referring people it is almost certainly a horrible scam.

I think some of you are mistaken. It means he is already attending the course and the friend who plans to enrol found out that he is a current attendee. So the friend says he can tell them that he recommended him and he can get the $800 bonus which they will split. There is nothing illegal about that. The question is how they should split it.

The current split. Why not.. more money, hes offering, and your not asking for more and your not rejecting.
I dont really think theres a huge problem.
