What is the purpose of creation?

The purpose of creation is a topic that puzzles every human being at some point in his or her lifetime. Everybody at some time or another asks themselves the question “Why do I exist?” or “For what purpose am I here on earth?”

I think the main problem is that we're all so arrogant, we simply can't conceive of there really not being a reason why we're here. It really could just be physics, and chemistry, and biology.

Mix physic, chemistry, biology, what have you, but you still wont get life. Time and time again we have applied our best scientific efforts to recreating life in the lab but have never actually done it. Out of all 118 elements on the periodic table not one of them is a 'life' element. Sure some of them contribute to life but yet no amount of mixing and fusing can make life. Think about this: what is the difference from a dead person and a live person? Both have all the same parts, cells, chemicals, they even abide by the same scientific laws, yet there is one thing missing. Something that science has made no progress in figuring out so far, something that every living human being possesses, something that cannot be seen. What is it? Its life; the biggest mystery that we cannot function without.

Idc if this is 2 years old, if we exist we are a part of nature, we found bacteria in a reef that predates how long we thought life existed, we are infact made up of calcium, iron and copper, the thought of life not existing elsewhere is irrational to say the least, what people dont know is you're not a singularity, you're made up of trillions of living things that all contribute to "you".

  • I don't really think there's a specific reason, it's just a natural progress that probably happened on many other planets too.

Because humans are incredibly arrogant self centered creatures. Thinking that they, as a single individual in the limitless expanse of the cosmos has any meaning at all is just the Highest form of audacity. Look at Christianity for example, the simple fact that we are supposedly made in gods image and in all the universe he us in his image and not any other planets inhabitants anywhere... It's ridiculous. Just like the pope saying that extraterrestrials have souls and are gods creations.

We are an incredibly arrogant and self centered race of beings. To think that in the chaos of this universe, that WE or any being is singled out for any specific or 'ordained' task is ludicrous.

Fidelity. Once upon a time thats what defined society. People coming together in pursuit of common cause. But we defyed our destiny and are soon tto die.

I have an answer but everyone gets angry when I tell them this. I guess they just don't like hearing the truth. All creatures have evolved in some way and have adapted to fit whatever environment they are in. If the infant mortality rate is too high the species usually starts to die out. If the rate is low and more babies are born than the species is more likely to live.

As humans we are born to help the species survive in some manner so unlike people all seem to believe us only by ourselves are just as worthless in the long run. If some of us die it does not matter at all as long as enough of us live. So our duty as humans is to help our species survive and help it prosper. Those of us who do not are dispensable.

If you have to choose between a bus of 30 children and an adult teenager age 19 you need to save the children. The children have not yet grown to become productive members to society yet and have not had a chance to pass on any genes. So they need to be saved. As well as that there is many more people and in these type of situations you must make sure to get the least amount of casualties possible.

As they say the need of the many out weighs the need of the few. If one person dies to save the group its worth it for our species to live on. So for this reason we have 3 options. Help the species prosper, have children and help them prosper or 3 leave this planet.

That is the purpose. That is why we were born and that is all we are meant for. Its a very bleak view of exsistance but its not like their is not so much evidence proving this point. This is why I must help everyone I can. If I do not find a reason to exist I simply don't belong on this planet. I cant have that. I refuse to be a broken gear.

So in the long run this is how you weigh a persons worth. Age, amount of casualties, skills, and how much damage it would have to mankind in the long run.

There is no purpose since there was no "creation" to start with.

There is no purpose to creation. There is only the purpose we create for ourselves.

This is a very broad topic to discuss here. Instead, if you wants some answers or guidance, read Aristotle's concepts about the unmoved mover. This concept concentrates on God's oneness and how the universe was begot.
