This a question for The New York Times, not IIN - I shit you not, they have a list and everything.

My favorite book is "State of Wonder" by Ann Patchett

So, tell me something, if I were to buy a Shakespeare play, wouldn't I buy it the form of a book?

It's not like we called it a novel! Lol!

King's Books, The Perfume by Patrick Suskind or something like that, Second Class Citizen, Le Petit Prince. There are many books that I have loved reading, I don't remember the titles. There's only one book I just couldn't finish coz I found it boring - The Old Man and the Sea.

Books are incredible, how could I possibly have just one favorite? Instead I'll just list some that I've read in the past that come to mind.

    The Giver
    Hatchet
    My side of the mountain
    walk away
    1984
    alice in wonderland
    heart of darkness
    a series of unfortunate events
    Harry Potter
    shadow children series
    Eragon series

That's all I have time to list for now.

Shakespeare is well known to English speakers. It's studied often and surprisingly well liked even though it is written in somewhat archaic English. So I would say Shakespeare from your list.

I would say Romeo and Juliet wasn't a book and Shakespeare never wrote a book, he wrote plays. So I don't understand why that's on a vook list.

I had to read that in school, I didn't mind it. Liked the movie.
I think out of your list I would have to go for Romeo and Juliet considering it's place in popular culture.

If the bible is truly the most popular book then that shows our civilzation's stupidity.
