Barracuda is a wonderful fish. It has firm light delicate meat much like cod.
There's only one problem; it tends to be poisonous, so it's a bit like gastronomical Russian roulette. I have very exact specifications on edible size, down to less than an inch, and so far over the last 35 years I haven't been poisoned by one of them, yet.
However, I do not recommend that anyone eat them, nor do I serve them to guests.
Cooked, I prefer perch.
Raw, like in sushi, I love salmon.
I'm not much of a canned food lover, but I will not deny my love for canned tuna.
Please be a little more Eco friendly and quit shark for life. I'm not forcing but I'm merely giving you a choice with my sincere opinions. Btw, I NEVER tasted shark and I'm proud of it.
tuna... swordfish... monkfish.... mackrel
all pretty fawking awesome...
Also Squid and octopus... not technically fish but they taste good when dipped in batter ad fried.
Then again what DOESN'T taste good when dipped in batter and fried
these 9 person who answered shark fish , i bet most of them even did not tried shark meat, cuz ppl say shark meat is not tasty !!!
Salmon tastes best smoked, like Nova lox. Then there's lobster, large crab, flounder, orange roughy (used to be call turbot - also was a lot cheaper) Also, if anyone is interested, I'll share the way to make carp taste delicious! I'd rather eat fish than any other meat.
I love most kinds of fish (except for swordfish, yuck), but absolutely hate other kinds of seafood like mussels, lobster, squid. I love crab cakes though, and I don't mind baby shrimp, but I hate those giant shrimp that my grandma serves at parties. I can't stand the rubbery texture of shellfish or squid.
Tuna is yummy. But, as with many things, they will soon be all gone if the demand for them remains so high :( poor fishies.
I LOVE salmon! Not only is it my favorite fish, it is probably one of my favorite foods in general :)
Lobster and shrimp are the best tasting seafood. As for fish, flounder taste the best. Salmon is probably the best for your health.
Pike, perch and trout all taste a bit muddy, although trout is okay. Salmon is probably the answer, though. Failing that, lobster is really, really nice.
Plus salmon usually has less mercury in the meat.
Salmon caviar is great too. :-)
