What is the best way to get a tan?

All three options have there ups and downs its hard to make a decision. I refuse to use a tanning bed because thats stupid. I would just do outdoor tanning but im afraid of getting freckles and moles.

Outdoor tanning gives freckles, moles and it will take weeks to get a good tan and I have to maintain it. But its free and the rays from the sun are good for you.

DHA tanning can give you cancer and other negative effects but its cheap, lasts long and looks good.

DHA free tanning has no risk of cancer or other problems DHA has but its extremely expensive and it washes off after 1 use.

First you want to slather butter all over your body, next choose a seasoning (might I suggest cloves, for a little bit of Latino flair) then you want to pre heat your oven to 450 degrees and bake yourself for three hours, be sure to rotate yourself every thirty minutes for a now even and golden brown tan.

  Also, the skin around the eyes is delicate so be sure to cut a lemon (if you don't have one you can use lime as a substitute) in half and place each end over your eyes. And don't forget to ask a friend (or relative) to baste you in the drippings every 45:00 to keep your skin moist throughout the tanning process.

  My big comment got deleted too. I can't help it if my doctor wants me to stay out of the sun. Some people honestly can't spend a lot of time in the sun without protection. I wasn't knocking tanning, but telling the truth of my life experience.
  
  One would think that with a Colombian mother I would be less sensitive, but my father and my sister who are both blonds tan better and are less photosensitive than me.
  
  OP would like my Dad, he loves being tan by the pool or at the beach.

    I'm not saying my comment was deserving of praise, I'm asking why it was deleted.
    
    The thumbs are a useful way of expressing whether you like or dislike a comment - that's what people use them for.
    
    Deleting a perfectly well-meant comment, on the other hand, just leaves the writer wondering why. It's a childish way of pushing OP's agenda on other people. Like "I don't want to hear from people with a different point of view, so I'll take away their voice."
    
    Furthermore, when others have had whole conversations in response to one comment, all that effort, consideration and communication is worth nothing by deleting it; The fruits of their labour are disposed of - just because some people would rather hear a dull echo of their own thoughts than a genuine discussion or debate.

The best way to get a tan, is to work in the sun!
I always get tanned.. But then again always have awful tan lines :/
