Well I'm still a virgin at 27 and I was ready for it years ago, probably around 17. Now I just feel the magic and excitement and anticipation around it has worn off, and when I finally do lose my virginity it'll just seem like an overdue ritual.

In my opinion, there isn't a precise age which is ideal for a young person the start their sex life because it depends on the person. Some people are ready for sex as early as 13, while others might not be ready until age 25. There are many factors. However, in general, in my opinion, the ideal age to start is somewhere around age 13 or 14. You have to start sometime, and that age is probably best. (Just my opinion).
