What is normal

What does it mean to be normal, and what constitutes normal behaviour? People who deal with criminals avoid using the word "crazy" because it has something to do with what is actually normal.

Is normal just what the majority of people do... wouldn't it be normal if everybody was "crazy"?

Help us keep this site organized and clean. Thanks!

Pretty much the bulk behavior of the herd that is so common place that anything outside of it can be described as out of place.

Humans being social animals we are designed to pick up and dislike things that we see as other. Because the stranger who recently moved into your town very well could of been a murder or pedophile. Modern conveniences like catching criminals didnt exist for the bulk of human exsistance so odd behavior being disliked is a natural occurance, of course if its benign theres nothing wrong with it.

Being able to tell the difference between quirky and crazy is a good trait.

There is no such thing as normal. Normal is entirely subjective. Something I may determine to be normal you may find insane.
