What is it with these "hands in the air" lyrics?

Whenever someone sings about me putting my hands in the air, the next line is always about doing something as if I don't care.

1, Why should I put my hands in the air anyway?
2, Why should I do something I don't care about?
3, Lots of things rhyme with air. Why not choose something else?

Like:
Put your hands in the air
While I set fire to pubic hair

Or:
Put your hands in the air
And shout out like you got a pair

Or:
Put your hands in the air
It's the only way to scare a bear

Or:
Put your hands in the air
And do not grope girls called Claire

      Me? I don't have a cat or a mailbox and if you slap me, you'd better be prepared for a disproportionate response as I'm in a foul mood and I'm well-capable of causing someone a serious amount of damage.

    it may be just me, but I think those lyrics are something out of a book called "Ugly Lyrics for Freaks who don't have lives" or "My lyrics are stupid, but I think of them because my messed up ex likes them".
