When you were in school what sort of marks were you happy with getting?

Some people make such a big deal out of it. Some kid in my class once cried because his teacher gave him a B on a stupid essay. We thought something was seriously wrong with him because he just started bawling out of nowhere. HAHA it was funny though.
If i got a B on an essay that i'd worked on for a week, i'd be doing a happy dance.
I was happy just passing with 50%+, but most of the time I was a C student. Stupid weed fucked my highschooling up.
On a test? 90 or above. On report card....as long as I passed I didn't care. I didn't care too much about my report card grades as much of the grade was homework, which I didn't do.
Anything C and above is fine with me... I'm honestly not smart enough to get anything higher than 80% all the time.
As long as there's no F's on anything except homework; which I really didn't give a shit about...
if it's english or history i get pissed if i get below a 95 on a test or a paper. if it's math, i'm happy to get a 75 on a test. which is bad hehe. if its french i'm happy to get an 85 or something. it somtimes bothers me how terrible i am in math..oh and biolgy sucked major ass for some reason. i literally got a 68 on a test once. : /
I think it depends on the class. I always aim for 90+ but anything lower than a 80 made me miserable
I like the reward of 100% but I always aim for at least 90% my average is probably like 98.5%.
At least 90% in everything BUT Spanish, I was happy to even pass that class
I would say that an overall average in the 80's (or almost there) says that you have given your effort and you know an acceptable amount to be considered competent in what was taught overall.
Having said that, some people dont do well with certain subjects, and some teachers just well....... aren't the best.
I sucked at math, but I did well with Biology so I got 90% average in biology and a 68% average math - my parents thought that was acceptable. I think it's fine so long as you excell in something - everyone is different.
