So if you were walking around on the streets and you suddenly saw a violent, gruesome fight break out, what would you do?

I'd like to think I'd be just walking by and do nothing but I'd probably do something stupid and try to defuse it and then end up somehow getting involved with the confrontation.
Depends on several variables. I'd adjust. It could be either one expect for watching it for my own amusement or filming it.
it depends on a few things... but I'm crazy enough to actually shout while running towards them. no funnier way to break a fight without risking an accidental elbow to my face again.
I kind of did this as a teen when a friend of mine was in the process of being beaten up by ~3 others during a neighbourhood footie game. except that time my reaction was visceral and panicky. imagine a tall skinny dude going all hulk running in and shouting out an assload of cusswords and threats. it worked though, freaking out everyone and making them scatter lol. we scurried off when the game stopped and two of them went to get their "older brothers"
If there was absolutely nothing else I could do, then I'd call the police then gtfo. If it's not in an action movie, I can't stand seeing gruesome violence.
There was a random as hell fight one night in my drive way and I live back privately in the woods so as u can imagine its a rare excitement. And it was over some girl of course lol. But this girl and guy pulled up in a beautiful deep blue truck and immediately a hardcore looking guy popped out of the apt next to me and flung oldudes car door open and started wailing on him, so I leaped off my porch and yanked the poor battered soul out of the other side of the car and saved him from a possible broken face. And he was 10 times bigger than me I'm only 5"1' lol but I was bored that night and needed excitement so..
If it was just 2 guys fighting I'd leave them alone unless it seemed like they were truly trying to kill each other
I'd just call the cops. In my area people carry knives, guns, and other weapons on them and I actually value my life. There's no point in me trying to step in and risk getting hurt.
Then you wouldn't mind if I just called the cops and watched them stomp you until the cops got there?
It wasn't a fight the guy was in. He got jumped.
About 7 years ago I stayed up late playing online poker. About 3 AM I decided to walk to the store. I am my own boss a locksmith. Igot a cup of coffee and on the way home 3 young guys jumped out of a pickup truck. One hit me under my left eye knocking me out. Just before I was totaly out I hit him with my coffee. I woke up woozy and walked home. It hurt to walk but I still had not regained my sences. My wife made me go to the hospital. I had a left broken arm, left leg and left eye socket bone. You don't have to look for trouble. It can find you.
With no one to help you.
In the town I live in I honestly don't expect anyone to help me if I ever got into that kind of situation. The people in this town just watch as something bad happens or they ignore what's happening because they don't want to "snitch".
I still wouldn't step in a fight if I saw it happening. Losing my life for a stranger's or getting into debt with hospital bills for a stranger isn't worth it.
Wen I lived in LA I was at my mothers house. I went outside for some reason. I eard a lot of noise. It was in the middle of a large street it was late at nigt so little traffiic. I saw 6 guy's kicking 1 guy's ass. I grabbed a jack stand "not jack iron" and ran at them yelling and told them te cops ad been called. I told tem they could leave. 2 decided to stay. I made them sit on a sort planter wall 1 decided to leave, I let im. Tey other started to leave but I made im stay. I wanted someone there to explain tier reason. I was a well built
imortal 20 year old. I didn't have time to think just react. Sometimes you run sometimes you fight without thougt.
If it was an equal fight, I'd stay out. If it was many beating up on a few, I'd do what I could to help the few.
So you, in your incredible wisdom, advocate vigilantism? Judge, jury and executioner because Steve2.0 deems it so? Great!
I do not condone vigilantism, IF the country has a decent justice system that knows how to put these disgusting creeps to death or lock them away forever.
I wouldn't get into a fight in the first place, because I'm not stupid enough to put myself in such a situation. Anyone who's stupid enough to engage in a fight, I really don't give two shits how they end up. Also, I certainly wouldn't be stupid enough to get involved in the fight, and you seem intelligent, so neither should you.
I'm an impulsive little ass. I like to say I'd just call the cops but usually I go and try to break it up.
i would try to calm the parties but if they won't stop i would probably join in the favour of less violent party
