What happened to the romantics?

Do you think men felt that romance somehow endangered their masculinity? My opinion is that the narcissism that comes with the rise in social media lead to sociopathic behaviour, which is not compatible with romance. What are your thoughts?

there are still romantics, they're just underappreciated 10

That's possible, most narcisists who fail at real life have lots of facebook friends and spend lots of time on social media. Girl I know who teaches kindergarten says the number one dream job for little kids nowadays is a youtuber. Kids today suck at dating because they're all awkward as fuck in real life from all the time spent scrolling down a website

I think the hook up culture is bad for romance.

romance dead? I regularly bought bouquets of flowers and other gifts for my last girlfriend, I would take her out to dinner on a moments notice to surprise her, i bought her a 4 feet tall stuffed animal tiger out of the blue when i was out with friends on a guy's night out just because I saw it and thought it'd make her smile.

I guess I'm okay. It all seems so surreal to me. It kinda reminds me of The Trial by Franz Kafka.

How are things going with you down under, Holzman_67?

Yeah it is really surreal hey. Feels like we're living in a slow moving apocalyptic movie atm.
Love the trial! Have you ever seen the 1962 film version with Anthony Perkins? Its a good adaptation.
Hope you have lots of hobbies around the house to keep you entertained or can take up some new ones! Where bouts in the US are you?
Yeah we're doing alright. I'm a "frontline" worker, I work retail and our shop is miraculously still open. (art and crafts store) I keep waiting for word that the government has closed it down, which hasn't come. I'm off to work there today. I arrive looking like a medical surgeon, with gloves and a mask! We're not receiving any new stock so the store looks pretty sad with all the panic buying going on. But I find some duty in it, art can save you in times like these and I'm happy to provide it to the public. I just worry about passing it onto loved ones without knowing.

As a country most are out of work of course. We had the bushfires here which were catastrophic, and the country was still reeling from that, with alot of financial aid going towards both wildlife efforts and the rebuilding of communities. Then this has hit us, so the government is going broke, if it hasn't already. Interesting times ahead.

Well keep well and I'm always around for a chat
