I am only curious about these to compared to each other I know a lot of other drugs are much more dangerous.

people are seriously mislead about the 'dangers' of weed.. why do you think they use it for medical purposes.. someone whos really baked is far less dangerous then somone whos really drunk, they dont do anything!! The only thing that is bad about smoking weed is that your inhaling smoke, but that still has nothing to do with weed.. Advil is a more dangerous drug than weed, people need to figure it out and legalize that shit!!

My husband is a physician and he sees the destroying effects of alcohol on a daily basis. People just don't end up in the ER from using marijuana.
If you happen to be one of the people out there who thinks marijuana is "bad" or a "gateway drug", or even just as bad as alcohol: you need to get the facts because you've been seriously misled.

I don't think we know anything about who ends up in the ER due to marijuana! How do we know that the guy who came in for a broken arm didn't get high earlier and think it would be hilarious to ride a shopping cart off his roof? Or other such nonsense and mishaps. How do we know that a guy I was working with wasn't paying attention for a second and caused something to fall on me and hurt me and THAT'S why I'm in the ER?
Just because you don't get physically ill from the marijuana itself doesn't mean it's effects are harmless totally. I'm positive it's use causes many, many "accidents" both for users and for innocent bystanders.
That said, obviously being illegal doesn't solve those problems. I think it should be legal but anyone caught in an accident situation with marijuana in their system should be held criminally AND financially liable. Problem solved.

Oh, and not to mention people who make other stupid decisions like having unprotected sex and end up with diseases, to include deadly ones, and unwanted pregnancies. Many rapes also occur to women who are imapired.
Just because the danger isn't necessarily health issues directly from the substance itself doesn't mean there's no risk involved and no bad effects to both the user and to society as a whole. Impaired judgement/passing out is a dangerous thing no matter what the substance involved is!!
People also lose jobs and/or can't even get employed becasue they choose to smoke. That affects everyone, not just the smoker. That's also something that won't change if marijuana is legalized, as drug testing is in place for insurance reasons, not to peer into your personal life anyway (for most jobs, anyway, unless you're a government worker, cop or involved in anything very sensitive). If anything, workplace drug testing would probably INCREASE if drugs were legalized, I'd pretty much guarantee it.

from drug education in school I thought that marijuana was evil, that if you start one week with pot, then by 6 months later you would be shooting up herion and prostituting. however, now i've realized how ridiculous that scenario is. in the real world, honestly, people that drink a lot are more prone to violence, belligerance, etc. on the other hand, somebody that is a real pot head is in general less threatening to me. just by the typical stoner will laugh, eat, tell dumb jokes, etc. so now, as a result, all the drug educatiob has lost all credibility to me.

i believe the stats are that alcohol kills more people each year than weed,.
like weed could kill you if you crash your car while high or like that. but alcohol damages your liver and basically everything else in your body.

no one has actualy died from Marijuana but millions have died due to alcohol. The only reason why Marijuana isnt legal is because if it was the goverment would have no control over it and wouldnt be able to sell it due to it being a growable plant. Alcohol on the other hand is legal mainly because the goverment get money from it.

Tobacco is super simple to grow!! And it's legal for anyone to do for personal use. People just don't bother. People can also make up to 100 gallons of wine per adult in the household per year for personal use too, and again most people don't bother. I'd imagine marijuana would be the same if it were legal, most people probably wouldn't bother growing it if they could just get it at the corner store.

I didn't say it wasn't simple... just that marijuana is EASIER to grow, even in harsh conditions.
But, I agree with you that a lot of people would rather have the convenient option to buy it all ready to go.
I don't smoke tobacco and I rarely drink, but I do like cannabis (for medical and recreational purposes) and it's peoples ignorance about it that prevents it from being legal. If it were legal, I'd have a plant of it in my garden.

i never said anyone died from it, i just said that they're dangerous in different ways. for example, one person may smoke weed and be high but not completely stupid while another person will get high but do something dangerous like drink a bottle of bleach or try to fly like my friend did (who died). alcohol also has different effects on people. ysomeone would'nt necessarily die from smoking too much weed, but from the effects of it. the same goes for alcohol except you can die from both the effects of alcohol and from drinking too much of it.

LSD isn't that dangerous if used in small doses. O.o It's not even addictive and has been used in clinical trials to cure alcoholism, as well as experimented with as a therapy drug.
The hard drugs will kill you. I don't think psychedellics can (aside from certain things, belladonna for example) unless you do something idiotic while you're on them.

the overall likelihood of getting cancer is worse with cigarettes,bcuz of how strong of an addiction it is. nobody smokes the same quantity of marijuana smoke as the do cigarette smoke. have u ever heard of anyone that said they got lung cancer fron smoking marijuana?? I dare u to find one person who only smoked marijuana and not tobacco. the reality is that people smoke cigs bcuz they HAVE to, but they smoke marijuana bcuz they WANT to. (recreational use)

Its toxic to your cells. It's just bad for your body on all levels. The effects you feel when you are drunk is actually you being poisoned. you don't die from weed poisoning or anything. Nobody has. And tons have died from alcohol poisoning.

Didn't the govt just admit that marijuana has cancer killing properties and they hid it from everyone because the pharmaceutical industry is so profitable for them as a source of tax revenue. It's no coincidence that the most expensive drugs are those that combat the symptoms of cancer. And alcohol, it destroys your internal organs. By definition

I say it depends on how much you consume if you consume a bunch of marjuana than marjuana is worse if you consume less marjuana than alcohol is worse.

as a user of both,i can say that marijuana doesnt effect your coordination/motor skills as bad as alcohol,and alcohol makes you more daring,marijuana tends to make one more reserved....so alcohol is by far more dangerous.besides when you drink alcohol,you smoke a whole mess of cigarettes(well, i dont smoke cigarettes)and take all sorts of other stuff to the extreme

yes it is a fact, it is also a fact that marijuana has been linked to mental health issues for people who smoke it as youths ( a greater risk of developing one i should say) it is also responsible for lung damage because people take deep long tokes in order to get high)

alcohol in wine is somewhat good. wine has antioxidants that are good and can be taken daily by a small amount of wine

Alcohol is very bad it can cause liver damage, unconscious harm to self or others, hang over, and is addicting.
Pot can cause psychological damage, black resin build up in lungs, misuse and possible addiction.
In my book they can both be harmful. I choose to make neither an idol in my life. My uncle is 63 years old and now has stage 4 lung cancer. He was an avid pot smoker as well as cigarette smoker since he was about 16.
