There is this girl at work, who I work with and she and I constantly browse facebook ranking people's looks. (she forces me). It just makes me wonder why someone would be so obsessed with someone's looks.
What does it say about someone when they are obsessed with how others look?

They might be comparing how others look to themselves. So I would say insecurity moreso than vanity. Believe it or not but appearance can influence parts of your life.
I know teenage girls who do this stuff...quite childish. Sometimes its just for fun and doesn't have to mean there's some flaw that the person has.
Just sounds very vain and shallow to me. She could be a narcissist or very insecure.
Vain. How sad, she is a 22 young women. She needs to grow up. It ain't high school no more. She might be attractive but it doesn't equal success for her. People who do that are sad and weak.
