Possibly uncertain of how to act. So he defused the situation with humor.

      Who ever thumbed me down
how else would you take it?

Laughter at first could be because of nerves ... but laughing offten with other people sounds like he is mocking her.

If I could thumb you up more than once I would, that is how I would interpret it too.

It depends on how he laughs. There's a show on MTV called, Friendzone. When people tell their friends they like them, sometimes there will be laugher from their friends. There've been people who laughed in disbelief, thinking their friends were pulling a joke on them. When they'd find out that it was real, they would admit their feelings too. However, if they laugh like it is the greatest joke they've ever been told, more than likely, they don't like their friend back. If it was the latter with your crush, he isn't worth your time.

  • I went through this a few times. Laughing it off is a way to divert the whole situation. In my case I wasn't interested the vast majority of the time. So from my experience I would say that he wasn't so in to you. He possibly could be and is just nervous because he feels the same way or could be interested but from my experience it was the opposite.

I remember this girl in highschool who had a crush on me. In math class her friends were suuuuch cunts. They told me and right when they said it she was at the door and heard them say it to me. She just burst in to tears and rushed to her seat with her head on the desk and her arms covering her face crying...God it was sad. My eyes started watering due to it due to how sad it was. Got the shit ripped out of me by a few of the guys I was friends with due to tearing up when it happened. Lol.

    • But do you laugh at the girl who had a crush on you after being initially told? What would be your reaction if the issue came up again?

Also what is your reaction majority of the time when told of the guy you like had a crush on you?

      • He's actually laughing at you even when the topic hasn't come up? No offense but he sounds like a malicious twerp that most likely is mocking you and implying that it's funny you would want to be with him because he wouldn't want to be with you. I could be wrong but that's how it sounds.

Well, I'm male. Although I have had a few guys say theyhad a crush on me, I was moreso speaking from the perspective of the person tha may laugh in response. Never really had a crush on anyone and never actually initiated anything like that to experience a response.

It means he's nervous of being discovered he's actually just three ducks in a man costume.
