Tells you he likes you and that he knows he likes you as more than a friend, but when you hint you love him, he says hes unsure if he knows what love is so can't say the same.
It means just what he says. Just because he has feelings for you doesn't mean he loves you. He might not know if he has feelings that strong for you.
Dont pressure a person with the "l" word. That tends to end relationships.
It's called love. What's the matter with you? Just bc you love someone doesn't mean they automatically love you back. Get it together, don't push him, just do your best to be yourself and don't change to try and make him love you, bc that won't make him love you. He'll realize he loves you when he see's you love him for who he is. Good luck.
Guys... Us girls can never understand them. They just have this language that we don't understand.
But he might still be unsure of how strong his feelings are, so he might be thinking that it's just crush or something.
what to do is ask him if he is in love with you, if he figets or moves his fingers, lip corner or foot just a tad, he loves you, why is this? when the answer is yes and the person is afraid they will hold back but the tension rises n side causing bodily frictions and figets.
if its a no he will have nothing to hold back he will feel on the lose so he wont move at all. i dont feel he loves you though, its possible he is genuinly confused about his feelings, but if you take the risk, the out come may end in your favour.
The reason that I felt more inclined to answer that this is normal, as opposed to the other choice, is the simple fact that an individual is different from all others. Some more so than others. If the example given in this IIN query reflects an actual circumstance, the person who appears to be disappointed should perhaps take a second look at the situation. The person who made the uncertain comments just may have been exercising perfect candor in his/her way of being entirely honest. Things may not always go as we would like to hear them, but it certainly beats wasting time with a person who would try to string you along with a bunch of half-truths if not outright attempting to deceive.
also if you are a very attractive women he might be holding from telling you his feelings bc HOT women tend to lose interest when guys fall for them so fast (bc every guy falls quickly for a super model) then again thats just a though, and a possibility.

for what i understand from all this is that he has just finished a relationship where he was hurt, and he might be afraid to get in a relationship again, whether he loved his ex or not apparently he is hurt by the break up. but you say he says that he likes you! you have something there you can work with!! don't be completely discouraged, you can turn what now is just attraction into love if you are patient. take things slowly and spend time with him, but make sure not to suffocate him either. GIVE HIM TIME TO MISS YOU!! its very important that you do that so he can realize that he wants to be with you. goof luck!
Oh..and while he was with his ex girlfriend, he asked me out..Sooo I don't know what's going on. I love this guy. Genuinely love him..
To add on, he hugs me a lot and has kissed me and told me "I think about you a lot more than you think".
But he says, "I don't know if I ever felt love before so I can't know what love is" :(
He was just with his ex..I dunno, he doesn't think he loved her though, but he says he misses her but she hates him..
