What do your kids call you by MOST of the time? Or, if you DO NOT have kids, what do you call your parents by most of the time?
Parent can mean whoever primarily raised you, whether it's a natural parent or not. Kids can mean any child you primarily raised or are raising.

I either call my mother "mother" or "mum". I call my father by his first name.
When my daughter was 3 she would call me by my first name. Other people thought it was so cute, but I found it really embarrassing.
My son calls me mum, but calls his dad 'Fat-boy' though he is very slim. Dunno why?
I usually call my mom mama or Pika (An inside pokemon joke).
And let's just put it this way: I won't call my dad by any word suitable to use around children.

My son sometimes called me Hey Buddy, or Hey Big Mister... I often call him little Mister.
I call my parents mom and dad but my kids call us by our first names for the most part. I don't really know why or why this came to be but it doesn't bother us at all.
