What do you think the world will be like in 200 years time?

I think humanity will have killed itself by then. I don't think that space travel will have advanced well enough to enable us to populate another planet.

On another note - if we are still here, I think films and games will be completely virtual. I think that when we play games it'll be almost as realistic as life in The Matrix.

    This may not sound mature but if you watch the anime Ghost in the Shell, the integration of computers into our personal lives via Cyberbrains and full-body prosthesis seems possible.

    I agree with you. A research study gives us, at best, a 50/50 chance of surviving another 250 years, with the most likely cause of an extinction event being not war or disease, but science overstretching itself (catastrophic disruption to food production would be my guess).

    As for video games, I think it will be possible for people to be "hardwired in" to what replaces the internet within 50 years (in a very rough and ready way) and that within 100 years most of the Western world will have a "head connection". In 200 years, the potential for programming to sustain and emulate brain activity leads to some interesting questions around immortality and what a soul actually is when its separated so clearly from a biological container.

    We will be sending technological items to the past so that they will get a headstart so new technology can be made quicker but it will actually slow it down because instead of seeing how the technology works, they just play with it saying " I don't know how this works and i never will but its fun!"

    theres a link between smoking weed and having female offspring,and alot of people smoke weed,so in the future there will be more girls than boys....yay

    If Obama wins the 2012 election then humanity will destroy itself but if he doesn't then we'll live in perfect harmony in 2012. lol

    We won't be here for another 200 hundred years. I can't tell you what would happen be it nuclear war, aliens, plague, or famine. I personally think we are reaching an end of time at least for humanity to much crap going on its crazy.

    i think it will be catastrophic allready in 50 years or more with the poverty already and riots ppl will die ofc from natural disasters and those others will survive , will probably be greedy , and drunk from money (now im talking bout the government and the higher ranks ) but who knows....
