What do you think of yeezus?

Just want to know other peoples' personal views on the album. Personally, I don't think it's that great. What I do like is the aggression and darkness of the album. I just believe Kanye could have done better. I'm not going to try to compare it to his other albums such as My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy, College Dropout, Late Registration, Graduation, etc. It is definitely innovative. Maybe Kanye should have produced more of the beats and melodies on Yeezus, Daft Punk made about four or five of the beats, which I don't have a problem with. If he produced more of the album, some of the beats would have possibly had his classic laid back spin. But Kanye, being such a dynamic producer and all around artist, you can never be certain of what will be the outcome of his music. But change is sometimes necessary, I guess, to keep the critics and fans interested. Consistency can be boring. But the point of this post is just a poll to see what others think of it, as I stated in the first sentence.

It's horrible. 15

Aww, I was expecting some Jesus related joke. I've never heard of Yeezus, I might go check it out later.

I'm listening to it!:D At first, I thought I might actually like it, the beat thingys (I'm very knowledgeable on the technical terms:P) at the beginning are catchy. But then he started saying words.:/ It keeps making me raise my eyebrows! It's doing one thing and then it does something completely different, and it's confusing. It's like he sat on one of those soundboard things, and it came out sounding like this fraggled mess.

Haha, I just got to the bit where it says "I want to fuck you hard on the sink, after that give you something to drink" Haha, what?! And why does that "honey" thing keep coming into it? These lyrics are bad. Now he's talking about how he's a God, even though he isn't God...:S Hmm. It's not great, although I've never listened to any of his previous albums. "Hurry up with my damn croissants!"xD

OOH, so Yeezus is something to do with Jesus! Still makes no sense. Okay, and now people keep screaming. What's going on here like?

Sorry about all these comments, I probably should have just listened and then commented.

I just finished listening to it. You're right, it wasn't great. At points, it was pretty hard to keep listening, because it was getting boring and repetitive (in a bad way). "I'm In It" is just a bad song (seriously, that lyric about sweet and sour sauce made me cringe), to the point where it's just funny at parts. "Black Skinhead" got my attention, and I really, really like the beat of that song (the one that starts 10 seconds into the song), but then he started saying words again.:/ I doubt I'll listen to this album again, although I might listen to "Black Skinhead" a few times just for that beat. It wasn't bad, though.

It's really interesting. Having Chief Keef on it was funny. The song sounds kind of heartbreaking at times. The verses that are told in the girl's aunt's point of view put the most impact on me in regards to establishing the mood of the song. The aunt just completely degrades him and it really shows through the song. It's pretty intense. I really like the beat.

Fucking love it. Okay it's no mbdtf but I love it all the same. Kanye changes with every album so I knew to expect something different but it still took me by surprise. It's such a minamalistic yet aggresive sound and the various samples and extremely raw electronics sounded a bit jarring but the more I listen to it the more I enjoy it. I've heard people say it's his kid a. I won't go that far but I do think it's a great and daring album

I think the production is incredible - it reminded me a bit of Death Grips who are a hip-hop group I really like. The lyrics left a lot to be desired, and I don't think they hold up to the lyrics on Kanye's previous albums, but they weren't bad all the way through. The sound of the record is very cool and fresh. I like it a lot and I'll probably listen to it a lot. I have a particular soft spot for "Blood On the Leaves", because the samples are inspired.

Although I do hate the autotune. I don't mind autotune when it's subtle or artistic, but you can hear it very clearly on almost every song on the record and it doesn't seem to have a purpose other than to be annoying.
