What do you think of the super moon?

Have you heard about the close approach of the moon?March 19th? Actually I'm not concerned about the disasters, but still I prepared some hardtacks and dried fish, just for fun lol.I know we will definitely ignore the rumours for most of them are bullshits. But really, will you do something for the day?

What the fuck is the matter with me 15
I heard about it, but you sure it's true? 10

    Um... I was very disappointed.

I was expecting something the size of the moon from the movie A.I., or the size of the sun in the beginning of the Lion King when it's rising from the ground to the music of the Circle of Life, and it takes up the whole screen.

At the very least I wanted something so big I'd become a werewolf (not like in Twilight, I'm thinking like Buffy the Vampire SLayer, or at the very least, like in Harry Potter.)

Anyways, I think the best answer to this poll would be "What super moon?"

  • What'sMyName?

It didn't look that much different to me.

  • I don't know why but I thought of Faceless when I read this so I think I would sacrifice him to the moon gods in order to avert this catastrophe.

Expiation!!! The moon god's blood lust must be sated with a Canadian sacrifice!

Me and the Super Moon. Alls I am going to do about it is complete my Saturday Shoppins' Choures, then later in the afternoon do a bit of my computer contracts and play with my puppy and THEN TONIGHT WHEN IT APPREARS I AM JUST GOING TO WATCH AND TAKE IN HOW BEAUTIFUL IT IS.

NO FUCKEN DISASTERS ARE GOING TO HAPPEN THAT IS JUST ONE GIGANTIC HOAX.

  • Well I have noticed the moon becoming slightly larger lately, I don't really know the reason for it and how long this will continue, but I don't think people should really be making a big deal out of it, not until SOMETHING unexpectedly actually happens which could lead to serious consequences for our planet.
That's just my theory behind it...
In the mean time, lets just hope there won't be some terrifying natural disaster like in that movie 2012! I was astonished when I saw that film.

    I'm sorry what??!

It was pretty. I probably wouldn't have noticed the difference if I hadn't known about it though.

That's all good and done but I've been crunching some numbers. It turns out that if the moon was made of Parmasen (posh cheese) it would cost 12,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000.00 pounds sterling. If you buy it online Tesco's will even deliver it to your doorstep.

      Not that that's unusual.

Now that the Super Moon is gone, I have to agree whole heartedly with "WHAT'S MY NAME?" I really could see hardly and difference, but still was beautiful.

I always celebrate the moon and all it's beauty. The supermoon will just be bigger and more beautiful to gaze at.

The supermoon will not have any more or less significant effects on the planet than a regular moon would. Just be wary of the women in your lives, they may experience stronger PMS symptoms than normal.

It won't make a discernable difference. What will make a difference is that Betelgeuse is long overdue to go supernova and it's so close to us that it'll appear as a second sun for a while. I just hope it happens in my lifetime so I can pretend I live on Tatooine.

Yess!! I am waiting to see this as well and I just can't wait! Most people have no clue about it or where it is so I can imagine the buzz when it does happen. It's like one of the last few big "surprises" left, ya know? Everything else is all timed and predictable, but this....

Yeah, that's exactly how I feel. And because we can't properly predict when it'll happen, it's going to come as one heck of a surprise to people waking up to two suns.

I'll be slightly sad that Betelgeuse has finally died, though. Orion is always the first constellation I look for to get my bearings in the sky. It just won't be the same afterwards.

        Exciting stuff, though.
