When I was 14, one of my best friends committed suicide. The "adults" saw it as a tragic accident and absolved themselves from blame in that way. It wasn't an accident and they knew it. Everyone knew it. I understand why his parents and our teachers didn't want to accept any responsibility for his decision but, ultimately, their need to protect their reputation when faced with a dead child is more sickening, selfish and ugly than anything Mark did. Calling a suicide victim selfish is very convenient when they can't answer their own case any more.
I have nothing but sympathy for people in such a desperate situation. It takes a lot of courage to draw a veil over the only life you'll ever get. I feel for the people left behind, but not so much as for the person who had to leave them behind.
I think that if your seriously thinking about doing it. Then don't tell anyone and do it. And make sure it's somethin that will do the job. None of that pill takin or half ass wrist cuttin crap, that what cry for help bitches do. Use a gun or jump off a cliff or building.
I had cousin who killed himself. He was 16. I won't ever forgive him. So, my advice to you is; Think about the last really bad day you had that you thought you'd never get over. Now realize you got passed it. Bible says "this too shall pass."
If its something you can't get past, change your life. Hitchhike to Maine and work on a lobster boat. Move somewhere cool. It doesn't take money, just have to have some street-smarts, which you probably already have.
Lastly, I'll never commit suicide SIMPLY because there's too much cool shit in the world to see/do - and I don't want to miss out on the experience.
I think its a persons right to take there own life. Its better then suffering a painfull long death from some thing like cancer or living in pain/fear/heartheche.
I think If they have an actual reason (not any of that pussy 'I'm a teenager' shit or 'Oh, She left me' crap) That normally comes as a cry for help. If someones life is so horrible and they see no signs of improving (homeless man for instance) Then If they have the courage and truely believe there is nothing in this world for them than.. Eh, who am I to judge? It's sad, but you as a friend/ passerbyer/relative should have tried to prevent it or at least showed this person that at least SOMEBODY cared, right? I'm not sure if I'm explaining it right (Kinda sleepy) But all in all, it's their life. They can do whatever they like to it.
It's definitely a sad experience that has consequences to many people. I admit that it is a little selfish because of everyone mourning the victim. Most of the time, the person doesn't even realize how much it will effect other people, though. I think we should all just try to get rid of this method of "escaping the pain."

It's sad that someone thinks this is the only option left to end their pain.
