What do you think of people who pirate movies?

I think we shouldn't do it and I'm glad it's illegal. That doesn't mean I - being the flawed human being that I am - don't do it myself from time to time :P

Personally, I've never pirated any movies or music, but I know lots of people who do. They don't do it to make a profit, they do it because they cannot afford to buy or rent new releases (these friends are broke despite having jobs). However, many of them do purchase the music of artists they are huge fans of, in support of them; they want the money that they do spend on the industry to matter.

While what they're doing is technically illegal, I don't think it has that much of an impact on the profit of the industry because, without the ability to pirate, my friends still wouldn't pay to watch those films. No money is no money.

I personally prefer not to pirate unless I am out of feasible options for myself. However, I don't think it should be classified as "stealing", rather it should be placed in its own category. Stealing means that you immediately deprive the owner of the original item, while piracy makes a copy. However, this in no way means that piracy doesn't affect the copyright owner. Piracy indeed does affect industries adversely, and even got some of my favourite shows cancelled in English, which is why I seldom pirate or watch copyrighted videos on YouTube with no copyright claim.

First off this is actually good far as anime is concerned. If someone can watch anime for first free they are more likely to buy it apposed to something they never watched and have no idea what its like.

Second they made a joke like this. The joke went like this. instead of having 2 swimming pools this famous actor has to settle for one and a mansion.

Even if the bottom man make 2-3 bucks a piece reselling the product illegally I really don't think these celebrities with millions are really losing that much. In fact if I was a celebrity I would find these people and thank them. That is free publicity and the more people know about you the better.

To pirate is to consume something.
To purchase is to support something.

Piracy is not stealing, since you are essentially making a copy, and not directly taking it from a person. However, it can be immoral, as having a pirated copy out there may effect sales numbers.
However, who's to say every single person who pirates something would spend their hard-earned money on it? In many cases, piracy is simply a way to enjoy something when you can't afford it.

Should it be illegal? Well... maybe, maybe not.
While it's good to have that legal barrier there to prevent everybody from simply getting the free pirated copy without any moral consideration, I also think it's a bit messed up to fine somebody that much money over something like this...
I think it would be better if it was simply something that was shunned within our society, but was completely legal if you wanted to do it.

more power to them i think some of them have quite an impressive talent in doing it plus if they wanna sell me the shit they steal for cheaper then i could get it anywhere else then we all win there dont we sure its real illegal but the better question is what is legal now days?

Honestly I don't think badly of them.
