What do you think of people being attracted to serial killers?

I know some people who really find certain serial killers attractive. I mean, real ones, not fictional ones in films.
I won't lie, I thought Jeffrey Dahmer was a handsome man,
but obviously I did not like his crimes.

What do you think of people like this?

      :Excessive emotional or psychological reliance on a partner, typically one with an illness or addiction.

      It depends on the motive of the crime, it depends on the nature of crime, it depends why they would seek a killer to love, it depends on the persons home life and connection to a killer, and it depends on the psychological state of the person in love with the killer.

      I am sure some killers are very manipulative and it might possibly be they played on this person weak points to control them. It might be the victim is seeking excitement as well. It might be the killer did something in name of that person or that are doing something to make the person feel better about themselves.

      Dysfunctional people will seek out each other and people to fix and who process something they lack. So this question has many many factors. Unless you give us the exact case we can not give you a very good answer.

      If you are weak you might seek someone strong to protect you. If you are misunderstood you might seek someone you feel is understanding and open. If you seek control and to be controlled you will seek someone who is controlling to dictate your life.

      This kind of thing is called codependency in which you always need another to lean on. These people will always seek the attention of another and sometimes cling to them. They can not function on own.
