I was just wondering. They're music to me is catchy. I think they're a lot better than Justin Bieber. BTW I dont really listen to boy bands or poppy music. I'm more into rock, metal, post hardcore, and rave style music. So don't worry I'm not one of those crazy fan girls.

Typical manufactured shit band who is only famous because of its image.
Stupid music aimed towards insecure girls, manufactured, typically fake, that is all.
I've only listened to That's What Makes You Beautiful. Not bad, I just think their music/appearance mostly appeals to the young teen/preteen girl audience.
Never heard their music, and just figured out who they are a couple of weeks ago, but they sound like the group that's gonna replace Mr.Bieber.
...It's so funny, because I though boy bands died with the 90's. Guess I was wrong *shrugs*.

HATE THEM WITH A FIREY PASSION. I hope a horrifying monster slices off their balls (if they have any) and fries them (much like calf fries) and forces the members of One Direction to eat their own testicles. And that horrifying monster should probably sprinkle some mercury menthol on them and finish the job quick
I have to listen to them because one of my housemate's taste consists of:
A) Teen Pop Punk
B) Reggae
C) The cheesiest pop songs
The same 20 odd songs on rotation every day.
So from my experience of One Direction, they are harmless, albeit vapid, pop music for girls. I would never listen to them for enjoyment.
Wow, lots of negative opinions on them. You do realize that they sound very similar live and on their album, right? If they're autotuned, it's not much at all. This is coming from a male fan of them, too. I own their album Up All Night and I really respect how far they've come after almost being eliminated from the X Factor.
They're not that great, but I listened to a couple of their songs just to see for myself. I wouldn't say they're terrible, because I've heard MUCH worse. Still, they are nothing special, average at most. It's their fans that are annoying as hell. The little fangirls that show up everywhere and seem to worship the band, arguing with anyone who doesn't agree. They're the real problem. It's the same deal with "beliebers."
The X Factor is a guilty pleasure of mine, and I did want these lads to win when they were on there. However, their songs are shit and they've made a ridiculous amount of money. I don't hate them for it, but it's made me despise the teenage fangirls of Britain & America even more.
UGH!!!! The same auto-tuned bullshit with absolutely no meaning. A group that's just there to look "pretty" and make shiploads of money for the label and people are actually falling for it. I'm sick and tired of seeing them on my dash and all these people "fondling" over them! What has this world become?!
Oops, I was thinking of "The Wanted" the whole time I was reading everyone's comments then I read one that said something about "That's What Makes You Beautiful" and I realized that it's the other boy group.
I always get them confused.
I had the misfortune of listening to some of their songs. It's mostly generic boy band crap.
Idk what One Direction it is but it can't be Straight.
