What do you think of michael jackson?

Personally I think he was amazing. I loved him even when he was a weirdo - I just felt sorry for the guy.

I also have another opinion - he was the second coming. My reasons for that are;

He arrived about the right time for the second coming (2000 years after the death of Jesus)

He wanted to spread the word of peace and love

If Jesus came back and wanted to spread that message what better way to do it than through the media

He is the only other person on history who has gone from black to white

Btw I don't believe in Jesus myself but if I did I would believe that.

Or did you just despise the guy?

I loved/ love him to, he was always awesome 14
I loved/ love him too and yes he maybe was the second coming 5
He was OK, I was never that bothered 17
He's a paedophile 7
I'm undecided, I don't know if he was awesome or a paedo 6
I loved him so much until he became a paedo, I was devastated 3

I feel sorry for him. Fame screwed him up. He was famous from such a young age and throughout his whole life, it's not a surprise that he became what he did, and died so tragically. I'm not a fan by any stretch of the imagination (he was a little before my time), but he spread a positive message to so many people that he will always be a hero.

I feel sorry that his childhood coloured his entire life, but I feel very strongly that paedophiles shouldn't escape justice just because they have money and pay off their victims. Also that the victim's parents accepted it.

    • Exactly, which seems to me that's what they were after. Surely no parent would accept money over prison if he really did abuse their child? No matter how much it was, putting a price on their child's innocence is technically selling their body for sexual services.

After I typed my reply, I considered editing it and adding something that looked incredibly similar to your last sentence, but instead I moved on to the next story. I held back because I remembered that some people are litigious and it's quite normal to want to be compensated for bad things that happen to you (and your children). And I couldn't really argue the point because, in some way, I understand it. It seems wrong to me that nobody questioned the ethics of the parents, but maybe people thought they'd been through enough. I don't know. It's an emotive issue. Which perhaps is even more reason for the impartial hand of the legal system.

Don't bullshit about him being the second coming or something.

He was a great performer, and of course dancer. I don't KNOW if he really abused kids, but either way, the parents were fucking STUPID to let their children stay round a middle-aged man's house for the night.

He had psychological issues no doubt, his father's abuse - he felt the need to undergo plastic surgery. But I feel that he had an honest heart, a genuine desire to do good, and for that reason I somewhat doubt the paedophile clams. Even if they are true they don't change my view on him as a musical performer.

There will never be another artist like Michael.

    • Hey I wasn't bullshitting. It was just a bit of a joke really, it was a thought a friend and I came up with when we were stoned once so I thought I'd chuck it in there. It was meant to be funny.

        Ah right. =P

Well that's text-based communication for ya. Also I've heard so many half-arsed claims about like OOH JIMI HENDRIX WASN'T HUMAN HE WAS ACTUALLY GOD, HE CAME DOWN TO TEACH US THE MEANING OF LIFE... yeah, that stuff.
