What do you think of girls who get plastic surgery?

I'm not at all conceited, but I know i'm an attractive female. I have never had problems finding a BF or getting attention from men even though I don't want it. The problem is I hate my stomach. I'm somewhat un-proportioned leaving me to be "bigger" from the top half of my body. This being, I try to avoid men because of fear that they will dislike my body when they see me without clothing. I have recently started to look into plastic surgery and want to get liposuction in arms & a tummy tuck. Would men find this more unattractive? What are your thoughts? Women, please feel free to comment also!

As long as she's happy, i'm happy 24
It wouldn't bother me 14
I would never date a female who had plastic surgery done 24
I would like it if it made her look better 18
I'm a female who is also curious to hear the results 27

I would consider an exercise regimen before doing something so expensive and dangerous.

I'd rather get off my ass and ride a bike or go to the gym than jump to plastic surgery.

    • I should've mentioned above that it runs in my family. I work out, i'm not a lazy slob. It's just the way my body is shaped.

It depends why. If they are a burn victim and like have half the face burned off I get that. If they had part of their face cut off I understand that as well. If they broke their nose well they might need it for function as well as appearance. If its like the women who got here face destroyed by monkeys well I think she would need some to repair the damage. Not just for looks but it probobly exposed muscles and other parts of her face.

You could just work out and not throw away your money.

All women hate their stomachs and it's something men rarely notice - as it's below the chest area!

You're worrying too much about it and I think a little flab is preferable to a long ugly scar from hip to hip.

Wow. Okay. This will probably be a long comment.

I still don't understand WHY you're considering plastic surgery.

From your last line of "whether men would find this unattractive?" I'm going to guess that means you are doing it to get more men interested in you. But your first sentence already says you're attractive and you're getting males interested in you... so are they just unattractive to you or what?

Don't say you're considering plastic surgery for other people (to find you attractive). It's only for you. You have to realize this. You're doing to this to make yourself feel more attractive, or more like a magazine model (probably). It's a cliché to say, but humans (can still be) beautiful the way they (physically) are. It's like 60% attitude at least if not more. And seriously, most (straight) men like curves over rail-thin models anyway (biological attraction to find mother able to produce and nourish babies). If you naturally have a tummy, you probably also have tits, right?

And what type of men are you looking for? If it's for a quick fuck, it's reasonable you want to fuck (sorry, I mean have really great sex, I'm not going to judge one-night stands or friends with benefits, but you know what I mean: quick sex) the handsome Hilfiger models, then no, they probably don't care if you had plastic surgery. They might if they have a fetish for "natural"ness... but unlikely?

If you're looking for a more serious relationship with men... then your physical attractiveness is important, but it's not THE most important thing. Honestly, men want the mother of their babies to have brains and a personality. I'm a woman and I find this sort of thinking really immature or insulting: men are humans who want relationships too. Like, real relationships.

And also, don't look for the easy way out. Like what everyone has said here: TRY EXERCISING. Plastic surgery to get rid of your tummy is expensive, and I'm pretty sure there is a possibility of permanent side effects.

Try getting some supportive friends, please question your motives. As a fellow woman, I'm saying this out of serious concern for your wallet and mental wellbeing.

TL;DR? Final verdict: Get more confidence, not plastic surgery.

  • Consider exercising first.

What makes you think something like a scar revision surgery or a nose job or maybe even a skin graft will be relieved with exercise?
They're talking about plastic surgery, not asking if you agree with liposuction or not.

Yeah, except how would you know? It's not something that someone usually tells you right away....Or do you ask when you ask a girl on a date?

"Hey, would you like to go out with me? Of course, I'd need to know if you've had any plastic surgery, and if so, why."

Um, newsflash, you can get plastic surgery on more than breasts, and not all fake breasts are huge. And if someone DOES have big breasts, that doesn't mean they're fake.

I think they need it. It's not something to be ashamed of, honestly. More and more women choose plastic surgery, different procedure just to feel more beautiful, healthier. I'm gonna have liposuction in one week here: http://www.placidway.com/medical-centers/,Ensenada,Mexico,,Cosmetic/Plastic_Surgery/Relevance and I'm proud of my decision!

I wouldnt care if it were liposuction or something like that. I wouldnt date someone who had cometic surgery to alter looks like nose job, breast implants or others like that. But removing a little extra fat is fine

I would never get plastic surgery because of the possible health risks and complications, let alone the money it costs. As others have said, consider exercise first and boosting your confidence before you go under the knife, and working out may you feel better with the endorphins it will release.

Sounds like you should try working out first....You might end up with some really bad scars depending on what you're having done, so that might end up being more embarassing. At least try it, commit yourself to working out for at least a few months and see what happens from there.

I personally would never dream of plastic surgery. Their are other ways. Seriously when you think about it, having a tube suck out your fat cells so your skin can reattach itself to a thinner tummy is a little nauseating. Though, I'm also female, so I wonder what men really do think...
