What do you think of automated vacuum waste collection systems?

It is a system were you have a porthole in your kitchen that you put your rubbish into and it gets sucked away using a vacuum though underground pipes to the collection point where it is all sorted out into recycling etc.

It means no having to put your rubbish and recycling out at the gate on rubbish day, no trucks driving around the streets collecting rubbish and recycling and no more smells from stinky rubbish or recycling because it is gone the moment you create it.

The idea was invented in Sweden but major cities in which the system is operating include Copenhagen, Barcelona, London, and Stockholm.

Do you like this idea or do you think it costs too much to keep running and is just a gimmick that we don't need in our lifes.

I love that idea. 5

I dunno, it seems like it would be an awesome place for vermin.

With the vacuum I do not think vermin would have a chance of living in there but I now what you mean. I mean the vacuum would have to be very strong to suck rubbish away.
